Right, so we can dismiss my idea that the day opening post is a summary of the night actions.

Did you discover anything useful?

I'm calling it: this is a round where the Evil role is the only one without the question mark spam, and has the ability to "play" certain abilities that have a global effect.
A little bit like a sleeping god role.

Everybody: what do you think of my theory? What do you think of the announcement in the day 1 mod post?

Seems like it, though I'm not sure what you mean. EP was the only one to claim performing an action on N1, and there was one line of question marks implying someone did something... they are also quick to dismiss your theory. This would likely point to him as our baddie.

Tomasque did say a few rounds back that things would only get harder for town though. On the one hand, if all the non-Evil roles don't know what they do, aye, harder. On the other hand, if a non-Evil role who has no idea what their action does, are they going to use it? If the opening post for the day does indicate who performed an action and who didn't, and only the Evil knows enough about their action to use it... that's not at all difficult for Town.

I'm with you on the "Evil is probably the only one that knows their role" but why do you think they have the ability to play abilities that have global effects?

There are far too many question marks in this round.

Who else agrees with me?

Looks like you're fishing for something there.

Who was it, out of curiousity?

Or they could swim to Israel as crusaders tourists and then cross straight into Syria. For bonus points, that would led them straight into ISIS hands, ensuring their untimely horrible death and/or being ransomed for big league cash to further fuel the Caliphate's meat grinder in Mosul.
Alternatively they could be a secret contingent of Al-Nusra or ISIS who intend to reinforce the jihadists, and the whole march is actually a clever stratagem disguised as natural selection pressures
There's no humanitarian crisis if all the humans are dead I guess.

General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O
« on: December 06, 2016, 01:52:24 pm »
Apparently one of my cousin's dogs died after finding a whole bunch of chocolate on his bed and devouring it all while nobody was looking. He ate all of it, got really bad and died on the vet. I guess this wasn't specifically the thing that killed it, since said dog was pretty old, but I'd guess it didn't help any either.

Whats worse is that most of said chocolate was dark chocolate, which has a higher cocoa content and is thus supposedly even more hazardous to dogs.

I guess its like they say, once you go dark, you never go bark.
I'm so sorry

If you were setting up that punchline, you're awful :p

If for srs, depends how big the chocolate bar was, and how big the dog was. Not sure of the logistics, but a vet I know asks those things when they receive a call when they're on-call.

:U don't give me that look, the mind did, not me.

Anyway, apparently it was a ~200 gram dark chocolate bar, and the dog ate most of it. But said dog was a small dachshund breed and was apparently nearly 15 years old, so I doubt that was the only thing that killed it, though it was likely the straw the broke the camel's back. Or rather, the dachshund's back.

Certainly wouldn't have helped then :o dachsund's tend to have lots of back problems, too :p

Here is our current Beginner's game, only needs one or two more players before it starts.
I'm getting an error from that link—might want to double-check.
Should've done that at the time, thanks, and thanks Meph for fixing it.

"It is not about us knowing the solutions, it is about involving people to create these solutions."

Okay then.

I also like how they say they don't want to create additional victims or problems, yet they're marching toward an active warzone.

Mafia / Re: Reverse Mafia: Signups
« on: December 05, 2016, 05:42:08 pm »
Things tend to go super slow 'round here, especially when there's another game on. Not too many Mafia folk :(

I guess the main factor regarding sign-ups would be if you need the game to start soon. At the risk of telling you what to do, if worse comes to worst, you might as well amend role distribution.

A mountainous game shouldn't be too hard to do that with /minimal GM experience.
