Greetings, friend! So you're here to become an adventurer, to raid tombs and battle dragons, or perhaps lead a less exciting and more profitible life, or more powerful. Perhaps you are willing to use less ethical methods to conquer the land, or perhaps you are a kind and good adventurer, here to rid the land of its evils. Whoever you are, you are at the right place. The Land of Legends welcomes all, but only the strong will survive its twisting paths and creeping corridors. Are you ready? Well, come on in. Adventure awaits!Please note that character generation is random, so you can be born of any gender, species and with deformities! Also note that I am fairly new to this, so this won't be great. After your character is made, you may choose its class and religion, and other minor details!
Health and Combat.
The combat system will be simple: both combatants roll dice. The attacker uses speed on the first roll, while the defender chooses to either roll to parry (agility) or dodge (speed). If the defender has a shield, it may choose to block (agility), which gives you a bonus to defending, depending on the shield type. If the defender rolls the highest, the combat round ends, and it is the defenders turn ends. If the attacker rolls the highest, they may roll to injure. Armour will give a negative modifier on the attackers roll, and the attacker is the only person who rolls, and they roll to damage (strength).
The health system will also be simple: injuries to a part of the body mean that it has a negative modifier when preforming tasks, and a player can bleed to death as the player has a percentage of blood (to be simple) tracked.
Modifiers, Attributes and Skills:
For simplicities sake, there will only be "modifiers", which will affect attributes and skills combined. These will be earnt by belonging to a spefific race, background, class, or doing something, usually.
Modifiers will affect attributes, which will raise or lower how much you roll, to be simple.
These will be tracked on your character page.
