It is cool how differently things can be built. My neighbor has a very specific factory setup with each node getting the same item every time, using only a few cranes, and anchored by an effective glass factory and cat statue builder for a mini-boss. I on the other hand have these multi-flan delivery loops feeding a couple factories with random stuff, being supplied by a multitude of cranes.

The other six players are inactive but we're on simplest so we should be able to win. We are next to each other and will mess with gem trading soon.

I do think it's better to have the production a bit away from your palace, and have the area around the palace used for clean delivery loops, so the best items don't end up in a factory.

No one considers the Treant changes to be a nerf. It's considered to be a massive buff and Living Armor is expected to be the strongest non-ultimate skill in the game (in the right hands).

FFS, did you at least stay at a Holiday Inn last night?

I think it's more like, when a Lycan gets so incredibly fed that they can afford to make a Dagon 3, his team is usually going to win the game. Chicken and egg thing.

It's source engine, albeit with the updates source has received over the years.

I've gotten burnt out on being the only (decent) hard/semi support player in the last 30 or so games I've played. You can only buy every set of wards, set up 80% of the kills, and buy every support item for your team before you just get tired of getting let down by players with no situational awareness or game sense.

I do hard-lane solo a bit too, and it's extremely frustrating when their team sends 4 people at you and your team continues to afk farm jungle and safe lane.

RAGE DUMP

I do more than my share of playing hard support in pubs. Generally I wait and see what my teammates pick, so I get stuck with the role more often than I'd like. Last night I had a guy voluntarily pick Crystal Maiden as the second to last picker on our team, leaving me in a state of shock and with the option to choose any number of carries or semi-carries to lane with him. Went with Dragon Knight, we raped our lane, and cruised to an easy win.

After the game I checked to see if he was one of those dudes who always plays support, and he totally wasn't, so it refreshed my batteries as far as being willing to take one for the team and roll support more often than the 20% of the time that would be equitable if every Dota 2 player were as reasonable as you, me, and the random CM I owned with yesterday.

I'm also thinking of queue'ing for Random Draft only, as I tend to get better team comps and more people willing to play support when I play that.

If Salem improves on the Haven & Hearth template and becomes a game that is constantly improved, policed (for bots, hacks, illegal vaults, etc.), and becomes a thriving community (which H&H doesn't really seem to be, largely because turnover is so high) then H&H will have been a successful game.

Clay is more important than soil, iirc?

I found a spot with Q32 clay, Q35 soil, Q30 sand, and a large cave system 4-5 screens south. It's all right along a river though.

Lol, I so totally don't have time for this and probably won't stick with it long term, but I will put some hours into the "just started world" rush and help you guys put something together so fire the HS off to me bud.

I think grinding the sewers is the best XP/loot for parties Level 4-5 and lower.

Agreed, but I think we have enough people to make that happen in the South, Northwest, and maybe even other areas with potential.

I am near-ish to Sartain (although we're working different areas now) and am the mayor of Skullyean, so please don't mess with it.

And I think there are enough of us, and a limited enough amount of landmarks (dungeons, towns) that we will need to settle in multiple areas.

So can you try to raid a town, and if the defense looks too tough, immediately flee without being jailed?

Also, I am having trouble creating a back line for my party. I have everyone in the front line currently, and can't seem to drag anyone to re-form the back line.

EDIT: Just figured out a workaround. I recruit a Level 1 character, and he was placed in the back line, then I could move everyone else there, and sell him back.
