An FB attacked a group of snake men.  It killed the entire tribe aside from one guy.  It bit off his right legg.  They then had a 9 month long battle in which the serpent man took no damage and the FB lost its tail, eye, and right lung.  Neither died and the battle was never concluded because i lost to a siege.  Apparently traps stop triggering when covered in limbs and blood....

Soooo after losing my last game in less than 5 minutes i have decided to dedicated a threat to telling stories of losing in record time.  Here's mine:

I decided to embark in a moderatly dangerous area with a river and a lake in it.  Guess where the cart starts out?  Yep, at the bottom of the lake.  I unpause it, and 5 minutes late all my dorfs are drowned.  Thanks Urist.

The other thread's fix involved dropping a kitten in front of the dragon so it breathed fire at the kitten inside of the fortifications and the fire would continue out the fortifications into the hall.

Demented and cruel.  I like it.

Unfortunately, dragons also destroy floor hatches.  Even if the floor hatch is open, the dragon will path to it and destroy it.  Once it destroys both hatches in the dragon repeater, it won't be able to path out anymore.
Too bad.
Just use a tame dragon. ;)
That would require the NO EXOTICS hack, and i'm trying to weaponize it without hacking.

Dragon Powered Flaming Projectile Launcher:

So I recently caught a dragon (in perfect condition, I might add) and i was hoping to weaponize it without the use of the no exotics hack.  I was thinking of placing the dragon in a confined area and having it spew fire in a controlled manner.  I really don't want the dragon to die so it needs to function in a manner where the dragon can attack but won't be attack back.

Here's what i had in mind:

[] = Wall
D = Dragon
# = Wall Grate
X = Flood Gate

The flood gate would be hooked up to a lever.  I close the flood gate in order to "turn off" the flame thrower.  Then, when enemies come, i lower it and let firy doom rain down upon my enemies.  To my knowledge bolts and arrows cant pass through grates, however i know for a fact that liquids and gasses CAN.  I also believe grates aren't destroyable by building destroyers.  The 2nd grate is to prevent the dragon from reaching and destroying the floodgate.

Thoughts?  Will this work?  Any better ideas?

actually go ahead.  I'm kinda busy irl atm and i just offered to take the turn as a means of keeping the fortress going while we wait for more people to sign up.

define "whole day"?  Cause for me a whole day is playing from like 10 in the morning to the evening.  I could easily get a turn knocked out in two days that way.  (if only i had the time XD)
