Simple! Dig a huge drawbridge trap where most of the children will go. Make the pit 6 z levels deep. Put the adults in the pit and have them watch as all of the children splat. It should eventually make them not care about anything.

I've had one good experience with mutants. One mutant had a nice amount of gun skill and over 20 heart and agility, IIRC.

In the entire time I've been playing DF, I've never encountered one creature in werecreature form. I'm sick of being a vampire/necomancer, I need change, but that change cannot happen until I know when a peasant transforms into a werecreature. Is it on a full moon?

Recently, I discovered a fortress full of hostile Dusk elves (Genesis mod). Only 2 were competant fighters. These 2 were tortured horribly, but given a funeral at sea. Both of them were buried with the same items, 1 gold coin, 2 swan wings, 1 duck skull and 5 chunks of crab meat.

Managed to become a hulk with xray vision, save someone who was dying from a burning room superheated by plasma, kill a hulk (chloral hydrate + monkeying + radiation from genetics) and save someone from being robusted by hulk #2 in one round.

FUCK. Dosbox crashed so I had to reload an older save, shortly after we took Syria. The good news: Our leadership effectiveness is back. The bad news: Well, we don't exactly have anything too bad going on.
