Dear Urist McMilkers,

Listen, I know you like to milk.  I mean hey, I like milk.  You like milk.  The cheese makers like milk. Everyone likes milk!  However, you two have bee playing tug of war with that cow for the past season.  Can't one of you get tired or bugger off or something so one of you can milk the cow?  I'm quite certain the cow isn't to pleased with this event either.

Sincerly,
The milk loving overseer

Shortest flying forgotten beast fight ever.  He rushed my dwarves in my trap corridor, my macedwarf shattered his wing so he fell onto my favorite trap that has a serrated disc, axe blade, spear, spiked ball, and menacing spike on it  Snail biscuits for all!

My baron threw a tantrum about me not making adamantite items and pulled my death level then went about it way.

Then got gored by 5 menacing wooden spikes.

Well provided they don't fall asleep or feel faint on the giant, serrated discs I think they'll be quite all right.  So far all I've seen is some Draltha in the distance, whatever they are.  Wiki says they aren't hostile so I can probably ignore them.

So 30 Z-levels down, after picking up Dorf Fort not TO long ago, I finally found my first cavern.  Admittedly I found it because my dwarf went stark raving mad and fell down a hole I cut in the floor.  So... I wonder how much fun I'm about to have.  I cut an entry tunnel so I only have one easy entrance to it... and lined it full of serrated discs, discarded weapons, and spiked balls in preparation of what might come.  However seeing an underground river where I can FINALLY have constant, running water instead of my above ground pools that stay dry 3 out of 4 seasonsand the underground trees and shrubs are making me salivate.

If nothing else I got 50 iron clad dwarves ready and waiting if my hallways of doom doesn't stop whatever might come.

My favorite war animal are my War Cows/Bulls... for the sole fact I modded them to be trainable so I COULD call them battle cattle.

I finally set up my 5x5 room of Death with my death lever in the middle.  Request Slade good, Mr. Baron?  Please, pull the lever.

I know I did that in 40d to make cannibal dwarves to eat my ambush/sieges and dead but yet to give it a shot in this version.  After my current fort falls I think I'll give it a shot.

It's on my to-do list right after I get back from work.  Or, if I don't want to build an execution lever, what would happen if I dropped granite on him from a few Z-levels up while he sleeps?

My fortress, Catpaddles, has become a Barony on Year 5 (555?)!  And what does my Baron request for his first thing built as a Baron?  Slade goods.

I don't think my Baron is going to be baron-ing for very long.

I finally got over being depressed over losing Reveredpapers so pathetically and decided to set off once again.  I decided to gen a new world since I got tired of seeing aquifers every other step and found a place I liked.  I've only just begun my expedition and I don't remember the name of my fort-to-be... but time to STRIKE THE EARTH!

Mining Goblinite, of course.

As long as I can use crutches, I think I'll be happy.  Means I'll stop needing to make kill-traps for my invalid dwarves with bruised toes.
