Will try and get the next turn out tomorrow, and then the following turn out on Monday. Sound good y'all?

"Yes, I'm one of the Cazadores. I was wondering if you could point me towards where one would go for shopping."
Internally Samson makes a theory.
Is this the middle east of the US?

"Mmm-hmm." When Samson self-identifies himself as a Cazadore, it is clear that the bureaucrat has some doubts. "If you want to do some shopping, head out of here, take a right at the intersection and you'll reach the Grand Bazaar, you literally will not be able to miss it. They'll just about always have what you want, if you can haggle well. Keep an eye on your belongings, there's a lot of pickpockets out there."

<Not bad.  Always room for improvement.>

Nixil checked if there were any settings for the targets to fire back, or if a more dynamic shooting gallery option was available.

After the first round of targets, Nixil looks for further settings on the U.I. pad. He can continue to increase the amount and speed of the targets to ludicrous amounts, but that appears to be the limit of the technology. Suddenly, the screen is replaced by Woodsworth's face.

"I see you're trying to develop a more realistic and practical firefight. Why not try a V.R. Simulator? You can set up either a pre-made or custom scenario that will test out your actual skills. ^_^"

I Take a teleport down to there.

Zingleborg inputs the coordinates for Taite Cothron. He appears on the top of a stone building, where the teleporters are not the modern cylindrical models, but instead colored orbs placed upon marble pedestals. Looking over the side of the building, Zingleborg can deduce that he is on the top of a tower, and looking over a vast countryside. At the foot of the tower is a long dirt road that leads to a walled city a moderate distance away, roughly a mile or two. The road is populated by people on foot and on horseback, and the scene is very reminiscent of a romantic, even cliched portrayal of medieval times.

Ulibossk looks around for suitable animals or/and natives. He orders the bow thrall to follow him.

Ulibossk commands his Thrall to follow him and searches the immediate area for animals to capture, but unless he is set about to capture birds or lemur-like organisms, he's out of luck. He turns to luck for any natives, and does discover travelling down the road is a man in camouflaged clothing and hatwear, rugged rubber boots and a dark green hat, in addition to the heavy kit he carries on his back; this man appears to be ready for some sort of expedition. "Yu gwatah quessin sah?" Even with the translator, the traveler's accent is extremely thick.

Cadence appears in the Entrance Room of La Espada. Woodsworth floats over to her. "Heyo! Welcome to La Espada! I'm your host, Woodsworth! ^_^"

Accepted, welcome aboard. I'd make her more powerful by lowering the cooldown on Trasnmute to 3 turns, and Great Balls of Fire from 5 to 3 turns. Otherwise I think she's solid, she may seem a bit weaker than other characters, but they have had 5 extra AP to work with.

I'll make an edit in the game thread to introduce her.
Does that mean I should wait to get introduced or should I just jump right in and start posting?

I'll put her intro in the thread shortly.

304
A game? Run by TCM? With a very strange roster of characters????

This seems familiar......

It's just like The Syndicate! Totally.

Spoiler: Unst Unst Unst (click to show/hide)

I should note, she may be...a little bit underpowered. I'm not sure what's a good idea for like, numbers. I'm used to d6's.

Logan: Approved.

Bastion: Deadeye is really strong, but I see its point. Does it still work if the target goes outside Bastion's line of sight, or out of range? That could be a good way of balancing it.

Yian Garuga: Approved.

((Do I have one thrall or two? Did something happen to salamander rider?))

He got knocked comatose back on the Kolinquo planet, so currently just the one former archer.

Wario scratches his head."What's 'U.S.' stand for? 'Ultra Stinky'?" He pauses. "Actually, don't answer that. Whatever the "real" name is, it can't possibly be more fitting."

Wario wanders over to the Transport Hub, where he searches for good tailors.

Wario walks past his good friend Woodsworth and into the Teleportation Hub. Choosing a module, he searches with the key word "Good Tailors."

La-Vera - Originally part of Calhoun, La-Vera attained political independence 180 years ago and became a city-state. Its people, culture, and economy are not only independent from Calhoun, but larger and farther reaching. Located on the southern edge of Calhoun next to the ocean, La-Vera is renown for its constantly festive atmosphere, celebrations and a culture and language that is unique to the city. Every few years the city is wracked by great floods, though measures are now in place to sufficiently stymie the flooding as well as protocol for rebuilding. Socioeconomic differences by region are quite evident in La-Vera, though strife and crime tends to be contained within poorer communities. In the commercial district, there are several established tailors that produce fiery and provocative outfits and costumes that you will not find anywhere else.

Shicheng-Dao - Another city-state formerly attached to a much larger state, Shicheng-Dao broke away from its mother state, Diguwang, out of sociopolitical differences, as Shicheng-Dao's populace favored a strongly individualist and capitalistic society opposed to the communal nature of Diguwang. Daoians, the title used by the populace to describe themselves, are prideful of their Shicheng-Dao is an island, extremely densely populated with skyscrapers and other tall structure, utilizing vertical space due to the shortage of horizontal area. Highly industrialized, the garment industry thrives in Shicheng-Dao, and getting a high quality outfit of high design is not difficult, provided you have the necessary capital.

Canalia - A city of allure, class and romance, Canalia is a port city that has avoided warfare that has historically plagued many states, mainly by shrewd use of its capital to foster alliances with more brutish and militaristic city-states that serve to protect it in exchange for trading rights. Canalia is a city-state of picturesque houses and interweaving canals. Rather than hard industrial goods, Canalia's main products are of a more artistic sort: clothing, jewelry, painting, sculptures, entertainment and high-class food.

Ramona dusts herself off, looking around. "Hey. Nice place. Where do I go?"

"What are ya' in the mood for? Something to eat? Read? Someone to fight? Games to play? :3"

Charlotte wanders around, sifting through her supplies. She goes to search for somewhere she can buy armor.

After looking through her inventory, Charlotte looks for some place to get armor. She enters the Teleportation Hub and searches for "Armor" at one of the Modules.

Taite Cothron - A state dominated by fields/plains/flat lands/whatever you want to call boring, agriculture-friendly space. Technology has remained in the medieval stage for hundreds of years due to influences of religious and magical institutions, leading to a conservative populace. For anyone seeking Western medieval-era armor, this is your go-to place.

Moltegaar - A land so cold and desolate that the weather seems almost malicious in nature. Moltegaar was once a great and prosperous nation, founded by the giants that the Vaakineers of Grimmar Velshun claim to be descended from. Then, for an unexplained reason, this temperate land become smothered by ice. The radical shift in temperature left many to either flee or perish. Now there are very few people left in Moltegaar, mostly treasure hunters and archaeologists, and even fewer permanent residents. Of note are the Anima, automatons created by the ancient Moltegaarians as servants and machines of burden by war. When the nation collapsed, the Anima were left without instructions and being immune to cold or starvation, they fled further into the icy wastes. Their metalworking abilities are said to be greater than that of any mortal being. The question is can they be found, and is the trek worth it? The last documented sighting of them was decades ago, although rumors always seem to crop up.

Murdah' Valley- Technically named "The District of Montague", the colloquial title is used by professors, scientists, even leading politicians. Many of the denizens approve of the name, as M.V.'s motto is understood to be the rhetorical "Do a motherfucker wanna die?" The government exists not so much as to prevent and fight crime, and more to maintain the order and balance of the existing criminal factions and syndicates to prevent real chaos from breaking out. You can find armor you didn't even think existed here, as well as a variety of other goods. Just don't ask if it's legal, or where it came from.

Samson approaches the desk under the assumption this is some sort of information desk.

Samson walks to the desk at the center of the Transportation Hub. This side of the desk is occupied by a man with bronze skin, appearing to be in his late 20's or early 30's, brown eyes and a moderately bushy mustache. His curly hair is covered with a cap colored the same as the rest of his mustard uniform, and his feet are kicked up onto the desk, adorned in rigid black shoes. Samson notices that he has a holster on his hip. "Can I help you?"

Choosing the Circle and Mobile options, and up to 50 targets appearing one after another, Nix set his Shredder to stun and started firing away.

Nix loads up 50 Circular/Mobile targets appearing in a serial succession. [Shooting: 9-2(Highly Mobile)] Nix hits a total of 36, not bad, though it is easier when they don't shoot back at you.

Ulibossk sets a course for Jamina, and orders his thralls to follow him.

Ulibossk pushes in the location for Jamina and sets for it with his Kolinquo Thrall. In the next moment, the two of them are in the wooden interior of a transportation hub, much smaller and less grand than the one in Shirae. There's no information desk here, just a map behind some reinforced plastic on the wall leading to the outside. Speaking of the outside, down a log ramp is the dirt road outside, immediately adjacent to the jungle fill of vibrant plant life, the buzzing of insect and the calling of creatures already audible. The path leads both Westward and Eastward; to the West it turns into the jungle, shadowed by thick canopy, while to the East the jungle clears out and Ulibossk makes out what looks like an outpost with a few buildings.

'Z' Types in Magic, items, and hats.

Zingleborg types in several Keywords, including Magic, Items and Hats. One main result is the cross-section for each of the Keywords.

Taite Cothron - A state dominated by fields/plains/flat lands/whatever you want to call boring, agriculture-friendly space. Technology has remained in the medieval stage for hundreds of years due to influences of religious and magical institutions, leading to a conservative populace. Magical people, institutions and items are dominant here, as are silly medieval hats.

The wallet transforms into a hard metallic case painted gray with a blue stripe, roughly half the size as before. He would remove 5,500 Zielons In two equal portions of 2,750 and hand them each to Ullibosk and Mega.
"Thank you both for watching my back out there. I may have met my end due to Woodsworth's prank without your help."
He then proceeds to go find an ammunition dealer who can provide live rounds for the rifle he had, unless it too was a fake.

After paying his teammates, Bastion heads out to find an ammunition dealer. On the way, he is halted by a U.I., who stands right in his path, blocking the corridor. After a few tense silent seconds, the U.I. takes its rifle and pulls the fully-loaded ammunition cartridge out of his own rifle and offers to to Bastion. Bastion can see that this time, the ammunition is there.

Yian Garuga's Zielon Wallet seems to disappear upon it acquiring said wallet. Who knows where it is now?

It stalks off into some random corridor before settling down against a wall. It decides to ask Woodsworth a question through the implant.
"Ah... Woodsworth? What was the... gol-den thing that came out of Solangre's corpse?"

"Oh, that? When I determined it wouldn't be a threat, I stopped tracking it, and it no longer became relevant. Solangre could have become a star after all, or exploded into a million pieces upon exiting the atmosphere! :3"

"Eh, at the moment eating sounds great."

"If you follow the signs, they'll lead you to the ship's kitchen, which comes with a full-range and an assortment of all kinds of foods and ingredients! I hear that one of your teammates is whipping up a native Indonesian meat dish, so it would be good to talk to her if you want some grub! ^_^"

Woodsworth sends out an implant message that reaches everyone simultaneously, regardless of location:

"I almost forgot to mention! While you're down on the U.S., you are no longer on official Cazadore duty, but I can't come down and help you either. I occupy a sort of head-of-military position, so if I get involved in planet affairs, people get upset! Last time there were protests! There was an joint-state investigative committee and they were not nice! I had to fill out lots of paperwork! >_<
So yah', stay safe! ^_^"

306
Next turn coming up soon. After that I'm going to establish a schedule so that a new turn will come out once every few days, I'm thinking about 3? This way I can remain consistent with an update pattern. I hope you all are still interested in this endeavor in spite of my absence.

307
Wario wanders the ship until he finds a Woodsworth-screen. Upon finding one, he strikes up a conversation. "Hey, Woodsworst! Know any tailors? I forgot my suit, and I kinda want a new one!"

"Have you gone down to the U.S. yet? If you search long and hard, there might possibly be something in your size! ^_^"

((TCM, will this be giving flavor text about a white, pony-like figure, and then me saying which Pony it is?))

[[So you're contacting this individual? If so then yes. Or are you trying to summon them?]]

Samson sets a course for Shirae. Political instability always makes for good black market prices.

Samson types in Shirae as his location. In a flash, he finds himself standing in front of a another cylindrical module, though this time the location is new. Notably, he is not the only one here, there are more modules around him in the area, where people of all shapes and sizes are teleportation both in and out. It's a far cry from the interior of La Espada, this building that he is in has walls and flooring made of stone. As he walks further into the building, he finds a couple uniformed men sitting in the center of the area within a large circular desk structure. Similarly uniformed men walk about with open arms, automatic rifles by the look of them, and armor as well; as they don't appear to be hostile, Samson can infer that they are patrolling this transportation hub. Beyond them is an open passageway leading to the outside, with cobblestone, sandy roads crowded with people and tight-knit stone buildings. A sun beats down ferociously overhead.

Nixil goes into the training room, intent on some target practice with his Shredder.

Nixil enters the Shooting Range from the Training Facility. Like in a standard shooting range, inside there are several aisles separated from one another to prevent accidental friendly fires, that allow for a linear, corridor-like view. On the lefthand side of each of these aisles is an electronic U.I., displaying factors such as type of targets (round, rectangular, humanoid, etc.) , the number of said targets, and whether they are static or mobile.

Ulibossk glances at his thralls' equipment, and looks for somewhere to buy a new mount/s.

Ulibossk looks over his Thrall to see what the Kolinquo is equipped with. There is a bow of course, a small pouch, and what looks like a small dagger attached to his hip. Besides his clothing, there is little else.
Ulibossk heads into the Transportation Hub and searches for a location where he can find a new ride of the organic variety. Among the top results are:

Jamina - A land of sparse population and lush jungle, where it is believed thousands of unknown species still roam. The vast majority are not for sale, but they have not been claimed by a person either.

Taite Cothron - A state dominated by fields/plains/flat lands/whatever you want to call boring, agriculture-friendly space. Technology has remained in the medieval stage for hundreds of years due to influences of religious and magical institutions, leading to a conservative populace. The various species bred for work, travel and military duties can rival modern vehicles in many cases.

Grimmar Velshun - A state dominated by steppes, who's abduant plant life are smaller shrubs compared to the tall grasses of a place like Taite Cothron. The majority of the population are Vaakineers, large, fair-skinned people that claim to be descended from giant ancestors. They are a proud people, who love war and trading what comes with the spoils of war, such as treasures, weapons, equipment, property/animals, and conquered people.

'Z' Grabs his new Wallet, Which Takes the Form of a Floating Black orb.'Z' Then Goes Looking For a Way to Shop...

Zingleborg looks for a place to shop. There is no one where to spend money on the ship, as the Vendor, an odd hooded entity, demands only Tokens, not Zielons. The Mage ends up in the Teleportation Hub, where he can find areas for shopping in the U.S. Just typing in "Shop" alone is too generally, as nearly all stops have some form of shopping or another. If he was more specific, he could limit the number of results and find somewhere appropriate.

In the Entrance Room, a portal opens up and from its depths emerges a hipster girl with blue hair. Woodsworth approaches her, "Heeeey Ramona! What's good gurl? OvO"

308
Would level 3 of domination have a +1 to success?

Yes.

309
Ulibossk glances at his thralls' equipment, and looks for somewhere to buy a new mount/s.

[Animal mounts only? Or are vehicles included?]

310
Charlotte accoopted.

311
Anna is approved.

Nixil is approved.

Twilight is approved.

@Zingleborg: I want some clarification on Black Grasp. So it's a life drain, and the health drained only goes to undead recipients? The update is good otherwise.

The End is approved.

312
Vi looks good, I'm a fan of her new ability as it allows for a lot of possibilities.

313
Samson types in weapons. Failing that, he goes for knives and then rifles.

The search for weapons is too wide for the module, as it lists hundreds of sources of similar importance. Stretching it down to knives does reveal that there are specific locations known for knives. From the list of about a dozen places, the top few include:

Sirae - An old desert state currently caught up in a surge of political and economic instability, leading to pervasive crime and violence. The blades produced here are of notable quality, from ceremonial daggers to contemporary scimitars.

Regn - A technologically advanced state, who's constantly rainy and damp weather rivals its reputation for a high standard of living. Although not primarily known for knives, Regn is the home of the Indigenous Weyeto people, who have lived in the region for tens of thousands of years and have a history of unique and exquisite craftsmanship that extends to knives.

Calhoun - A swampland with few settled cities, (though the settled ones are densely populated) mostly filled with nomads and wandering traders. With a high volume of hunters explorers, searching in Calhoun will net you some of the best survival gear on the planet, including knives.

Samson can choose to look further down the list, find more details about one or more of the listed locations, or travel to one of them immediately.

Vi takes her wallet and ties the resulting pouch to her outfit. Just like all the other pouches she has tied to her clothes. One can never have too many pockets after all. She then wanders off to the library. May as well pass the time doing something productive.

Vi's wallet is now tied to her body along with her other pouches, like she's some sort of genetically modified super kangaroo. She slinks off to the library, which is as large and enigmatic as it has always been, though much more quiet with the lack of people inside. A single I.A. stands at the front desk, attentively waiting for orders and requests. Despite being built like a cross between a war machine and a magical golem, the I.A. is not so intimidating, in no small part due to its uniform consisting of a sweater, patterned pants and thick-rimmed glasses. Vi has to wonder what purposes glasses had on an automaton.

314
Noted.

Note the thread title.

Sorry everybody, but yeah.  There's no way I can run this.

It was a fun concept while it lasted.

Looks like the DMX Coup ends here boys and girls.

315
Samson nods and gives a thumbs up.
"Sounds good. Welp, I'm going to see what it's like planet side then!"
Samson goes to do look for a knife shop.

Samson heads out and follows directions to a room with several teleportation modules. Walking up to one of them, it displays a three dimensional representation of a planet and all of its landmasses; this must be the U.S. It indicates that he can press one of the glowing areas on the globe, which will teleport him there. Additionally, he can search for keywords that will redirect him to the most relevant destinations.

"Well, if it has garlic in it, I'm not gonna turn down a free meal! I'll be sure to show up for dinner—just let me store this thing somewhere I won't have to worry about one of these chumps stealing it!"

Wario heads back to his dorm, where he stores the idol under his bed.

Wario hides the Golden Monkey Head Artifact under his bed. It would be best to lock the door on his way out.

Anna's Zielon Wallet just becomes a UI element.

Because SBURB is weird.

"It was still a life, even if it was parasitic.  We should try more than this..."

"It was not a life, just the illusion of one. A video game may appear to have sentient beings and an organic world, but ultimately it is a series of colors and sounds produced by a programmed machine."
"You do realize I've been living in SBURB for...Far too long, right?  Right?  Your analogy sucks.  Because then if I'm a videogame character, who's simulating me?

You would call an AI nonlife simply because it doesn't have a human brain, if you were human, wouldn't you."

"No, you suck. : P
But really, you're simulating you, as far as I know. Solangre's had no will of its own to control its thoughts or actions."

Woodsworth floats over to the U.I. guiding the Transportation Ship back into its dormant stationing position. "Look at these guys, would you say they are sentient? I control their every move, their every moment of existence, all simultaneously. If they have anything resembling emotions, I control those as well. If I wanted, they would all cease to exist beyond hollow objects containing deprogrammed systems."

Frisk briefly approaches Twilight, and gives her a small wave, signalling their leave. "Seeya."

They do the same with Anna, before stepping in the portal, returning home.

Frisk says their goodbyes and heads to the Entrance Room, which now functions as an Exit Room as well. The portal seems to beckon to them.

*Frisk feels determined.

Frisk had already met many people here, made friends even. But in the end, they felt as though they could do little. This was not where they came from, and this was not a battle they could contribute to. It was one that would be waged with tools of warfare, anger and deception. Frisk could sense that MERCY would be only a faint whisper among the cries of rage; MERCY did have its place, but it would not be here, among these flawed but brave people. Frisk had saved one world, and now it would be up them to save the rest. Frisk sincerely wished them the best. But they were needed elsewhere.

*Frisk goes HOME.
