used marking mode channel designations to mark where my roads shall go... later found a boulder in the path and designated smooting - which activated that tile for channeling. so the caravan's wagons went by without going to my depot :(
My latest caravan got almost all the way to my depot, with two wagons not quite there yet, and then stopped in its tracks for no discernable reason.

I don't have a god with 0 worshippers - possibly it can happen when there is already a temple to that god. Try removing this temple, and then creating a new one - the name should disappear from the list.
I had several gods with zero worshippers from the start. I only bulit temples to gods with multiple worshippers.

I started out a new fort, Inksacks, a couple of days ago. Around 40 population, I carved out some quick spaces for temples--one no-particular-god one and one each for a couple of the more popular deities. Now it's a few years later, I've inherited a king and started a megaproject, so I figured it's time to fill out the Street of the Gods. In doing so, I made a list of the available gods, how many followers they had, and which ones already had temples.

Doing that, though, I discovered that I have a temple, The Mahogany Shrine, dedicated to Elifa Gorgecoast the Untamed Boulder. When I assign a new temple, though, it gives me a list of deities--and Elifa Gorgecoast the Untamed Boulder does not appear in the list. Where did Elifa go? It must have had a fair number of worshippers, or I would not have made a temple. And I haven't had enough dwarves get killed to have the entire congregation wiped out--and even if I did, I've got another god with 0 worshippers listed.

I've been getting lots of barons, so I imagine my civ is getting slaughtered. Can a god die?

I'm trying to troubleshoot some modded armor I've been playing around with. I think I may be running out of layer size, but because of backpacks I'm not sure. The wiki says that backpacks and quivers take up layer size, but it never says how much. Backpacks don't have their own wiki entry, and I can't find them in the raws--are they hardcoded? What's the layer size of a backpack or quiver?

Sock can't be an insult. Everyone knows socks are the most highly prized commodity in dwarven society. "Sock" should be, like, something dwarves whisper to each other in bed.

Doesn't matter to me, since the likelihood of getting one of reasonable quality and good material is absurdly low without modding, at which point you might as well give yourself an M1 tank.

You're using an old version of DFHack. You should either upgrade your pack or upgrade DFHack.

I feel like it's not the only similar error I've seen but most of them were late at night and I was hyper focused on the game. If I run across others I'll report in. If there's a better place to report individual scripts, please tell me off.

Were you using a graphic tileset previously? Those mess with the display symbols in the raws.
It looks to me like the LNP did turn graphics on in the init file, which I had to turn off because the dwarf symbols had turned into something that looked like Missingno. So yeah, that sounds likely. What files do I need to restore from backup to fix it?

I always just get about 50 sand bags at embark. They're incredibly cheap. Then, ask the outpost liaison for one of each kind of leather and the caravan will bring one full bin of each. I don't often run out of bags.

I remember being able to do that, but I have since forgotten how to dump the contents of a bag. How does that work again?
Why would you want to dump the sand? You need pots. Make them out of glass.

This is an old problem and I may once have even known how to fix it, but I just downloaded the latest version and installed my usual font (Raving) and somehow I screwed everything up and half the characters are displaying wrong.

The problem I was having is really just figuring out what I'm looking at. When I'm trying to adjust a 5x5 embark that includes four separate biomes with squiggly borders, it's very difficult to understand how to get the right one.
