That's incredibly cool. Explains how those demons took over so easily.

Mythbusters and Deadliest Warrior have both done a few episodes showing the effectiveness of various crossbows. They were not even stronger than a long bow most of the time.
Or wait a decade or so for the game to be completed. It's kind of disingenuous to criticise an unfinished work for being unfinished.
this Its actually a disappointment. All the stuff thats new that took 2 years pales in comparison to what Meph can do in 2 months with his masterwork. Atleast as far as fortress mode goes. I think adventure mode might have a good bit update which is cool.
Other than the one thread in this forum by the guy who's butthurt about z-levels (or something???), is this a problem? Everyone here seems pretty excited about the new version and fairly understanding of the necessary sluggishness of a development process manned by exactly one full-time programmer.
Morality and fear need to be tweaked. Weaker for people with real combat skill, or something like that. Farmers should be terrified of blood flying, not trained soldiers.
I mean Right as in "Cheating Mode" lolYes I want to have fun and also try to stay on the right path without putting in too much mods lol
It isn't very dwarf-y of you to think there is a right path. Next you'll be suggesting Toady put in a win condition.
I would like Toady to Focus on the Bugs .. don't need anything more put into game. I wouldn't mind seeing things like Brothels and more Natural Disasters put in game but I first have to learn how to make a chair so the stripper can give me lap danceshahah.
Wait. So DF is crap now? Where have I been?
Someone condense what the OP said honestly. I don't feel like unraveling the ball of yarn.
