I downloaded DFHack just now and tried to run dfreveal. First it gave me an error that I was missing msvcp100.dll so I downloaded that. Then it told me I was missing msvcr100.dll so I downloaded that too. Now it is telling me "The procedure entry point _invalid_parameter_noinfo_noreturn could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR100.dll." I downloaded and installed the MSVC 2010 redistributable but that didn't fix the problem.

Any advice?

in genesis mod i've had a gelatinous cube, burning in my magma chamber, for about a year and a half.
then i got impatient cuz i had to use the magma chamber and i didnt want to build another one.
so i caved it in.

i guess if i hadnt done that, it could burn even longer.

when the game pause(by default) when a wave of immigrants comes in,
open Dwarf Therapist, refresh, set the filter to migrant wave, and there you go.

I have discovered that dropping 15 centaur siegers, down a 20 z levels chasm gives more bones than I will ever need.
in my case, werewolf sieger were inserted with a dozen werewolf bone bolts each, before they fell down 10z levels onto serrated blade traps.

war elephants
they always got stabbed on limbs, lower bodies etc.
heavy bleeding was quite common, arteries gotten were torn on an amazingly usual manner.
maybe it's because i play genesis mod and some foes are stronger than vanilla ones.

though they were pretty good auxiliary to marksdwarves, every time i suffer great losses of elephants that sometimes take two or three years to replace. and cleaning the elephant corpse weighted literally two dozen tonnes was not very funny.

well i admit even when they die, they retain a great treasure to the fort, before finished being eaten  :)

i've a huge underground pasture complex in deep soil layers.
i suspect i could feed up to 30 elephants.

but they didnot work as well as i expected during battle in .18
so i might just use then as primary meat source.

dfweather -- A tool that will let you change the weather.

it's not 'dftemperature', it only makes game snow or rain, or clear, it does not raise nor lower the actual temperature.

then you should drain it into subterranean lake. into lava is kinda semi-permanent.
make sure you drain it faster then water flow in...

aquifer isnt terribly not fun to work with.
i just dig a big piston, big enough to make a fort inside once it's inserted into aquifer layer(s)
oh forgive my diction, i should say, an humongous piston.
