if the were dwarf is your last remaining dwarf, the fort falls when he transforms

for reasons, some dwarven civs dont have access to iron, but they will always have steel. So if that happens you'll still have an anvil. Otherwise there is no benefit to having it from one material or another

nobles, well, dont really call your manager, CMD, broker or some such a noble since you can appoint whoever you want for that position and they actually work. Currently there isn't really any use to barons dukes and such though

some simple raw editing can make humans a playable race in fortress mode, though it plays somewhat different - can't make steel for example, only dorfs can do that

the miners are a bit of a glass cannon. As mentioned, they don't know how to actually fight, they can just do some amazing tricks with that pickaxe. If anything causes them to lose it (burried in the skull of an enemy), well, tough luck

For some reason I can't get the fall of one of my forts out of my head, so I'm just writing it here.

Enraged naked burning demon goblin general

Yes, there is a story behind it.

Both of those are still here I think but...

If you make a seed stockpile and disable barrels, they will use bags and you won't have that problem nearly as much.

When I station dwarves sometimes they won't kill things but if I order them to kill they do so just fine.

make 2 seed stockpiles, 1 closer to still, dining hall etc, the other closer to the farm. the one closer to the farm will only accept from the other seed stockpile. Any new seeds will be collected with the help of seed stockpile no1 while farmers pick their seeds from stockpile no2.

Usually, often, not always. A plan may be foolproof in theory, but almost nothing is dwarfproof.

do you have an active alert or burrow? have you tried assigning the task through the manager?

yes, we know what you meant. It's not something you can do in your fort currently. If you kill that historical person in battle its civ loses the benefit of those animals in sieges though, or at least it used to be that way

Nope, no voluntary dwarf restraints. You can assign them as prisons and maybe put them there or get them put there on some trumped up charges of, say, a civilian found dead with all his blood drained

on the megabeasts/semi-megabeasts:

one thing often forgotten is that they don't have armor, and often no clothing, making them rather easy to kill for an ok militia. Recruits might be in trouble though

in the future, maybe :)

it's best to put the major in a burrow to force the meeting. "taking a break", "drinking" "attending a party" are all way more important tasks than "conducting a meeting"

the beak dogs situation - as mentioned, duplicate raws. It can have very strange effects which makes your feverish nightmares dull by comparison

legendary miner kill cyclops - yep, that was pretty much as expected

farm tower - I've honestly never tried, but do farm plots on constructed floors, as opposed to floors of stone left over from digging, even when smoothed, actually work? IIrc, in previous versions you had to do a magma cast of the tower in order to farm on it

the way it messes the stone around... not fun. You could be mining steam instead of stone

the name difference between therapist and the game is now something that can be toggled I think? Tan skin also doesn't mean a thing, nor does 'weak'. Vampires learn to fake that they are normal. The huge amounts of amulets and other trophies have been removed a long time ago, weren't they?

One thing I'm not sure of. It used to be that a vampire didn't have a bedroom. After all, a dwarf only claimed one if he needed to sleep, and vampired didn't need to sleep. So a dwarf that has his own bed (felt pleasure near own bed.... ew) is unlikely to be a vampire.
