Yes,  kick 'em good!

Also, I really like to switch that rear facing laser to the front in Centurions. It makes them a lot better in my opinion. And the heat is still fine.

Something still seemed to be off with the script, in the first round of combat the Hetzers are noted to have shot twice, which is clearly impossible.

One advice regarding the immobile vees: It seems, that even if you repair the motive system, the game doesn't acknowlegde that. It will show as fine in all screens, but still be immobile. You'll have to edit the damage in the hangar, then save, quit and reload.

So if I want to assemble a particular instrument, I'm basically at the mercy of the RNG as to when I'm going to get all the pieces? Ah, DF, the more you change the more you stay exactly the same.

No, you can choose exactly what piece is produced. I have a large but simple percussion instrument, only two parts. At the leather workshop I made the "deb head" and at the carpenter the "deb body".
It is not like saying: make instrument parts and then hope that the one you need comes out.

Or they were just on their way to another place and stumbled upon your fort by accident.

Some missions I just delete. And the last base attack (attacker) was even fun, because my ComStar allies did not stay put at the starting location and even put their SRM and LRM carriers to good use and robbed me of quite a few kills. Neither of us lost anything. The one before that the allied AI sent 2 of its tanks into the fight, the rest just stayed where they deployed. I had to face about double my BV. I gave up and transferred control of the allies to me. Still lost some mechs, but won.

Then why do those C-rated St. Ives guys only  field medium vehicles when they attack our base (and some light mechs and a Hunchback). :( My assault lance is there to welcome them.

But double admins can give you more leeway when it comes to buying stuff in bulk. If you give the non logistics that as their 2nd job.
It is a bit silly sometimes, that you can only ever request one magazine full of ammo or 5t of armor. There might be more where that comes from, maybe that guy sells 10 or 20 rounds of AC/20 ammo, not just 5? And maybe that other guy who has a scrapyard for military vees has a larger stock of armor?

Edit:
Something that I couldn't figure out so far is the rating of the enemies. The first part is their experience, that one is easy. The other one is their equipment, and here I am not sure if A is the best, as with your Company under Dragoons rating, or if F is the best, as with other stuff, like the quality of the Mechs.

Wouldn't trust that one, seems fishy.

One of the pictures seems to be wrong. Instead of the new fighter it shows the battle report (again).

Nice update, and I vote for the mini nuke as the next research goal. The power of the atom shall be ours!

You can also give all the admins another admin job as a secondary occupation. A bit less cheasy and they actually have the skill.

Also, what to do with Astechs? Is the Astech skill worth anything? Or do we just wait for them to get 5xp and then give them some other skill that seems useful?

You can save one Astech...but as those don't seem to cost anything (wonder why they work for free, but then, the others mostly only want very little money as well) it doesn't really matter. I have a 3 year old toddler with 3 xp now, I wonder if I can set her into a mech as soon as she has 10, or a vehicle with only 5XP. :D

I think the melee malus is in. Clan warriors have -1 or -2 to hit.

And you only need 10 heat for that to work I think. Without double heatsinks that is quite easy to achieve with most mechs. You can also shoot buildings and the landscape with some lasers to turn up the heat. It is harder to keep them below 10 quite often. Unless they are Shadowhawks or some of the light mechs with barely any weapons. But you might heat them up via jumping and shooting as well.

But I'll give you that perk, though it is a rather special use that will not come into play very often even if we had the stuff.

What I read is that the clans often bring three full stars of OmniMechs. Fun times!
