Earth has the "homeworld" minerals, that means it will always have all 11 minerals, all at least wich acceptable accessability. But not that many, so you will be forced to move on sooner rather than later.
And while 200.000 may sound much, 200.000t of Duranium can be gone quicker than you might like.
My nemesis is Gallicite though, I always struggle to get enough if that stuff.

Hm, the last refugee center I went into (was also my first) was empty upstairs, and I did not manage to get downstairs.

6 outsiders? So I suppose you are playing longwar?
If so, did you use a HE or an AP grenade? The latter doesn't do any environmental damage at all.

Hoplite is quite good in my opinion. I have only played the free version though.

It is a turnbased roguelike, you have to fetch a thing from floor 16.
You have your spear (which can be thrown) and your shield (which can be used to knock enemies away). All enemies have 1 HP and the maps are very small. You see the complete floor all the time. As you know the abilities of the enemies, every HP you loose is your fault.
You don't level up, but there is a shrine at every floor that can give you a blessing. Healing, higher throwing range, more base HP, better shield bash. Some of the higher tier upgrades cost one base HP though...

In the paid for version you can apparently go below floor 16 as well, you have a sword, and you can get more different blessings.

So...my fighters moral is going down. They've been deployed (on their carrier) for more than 12 months, so that is fine. Just...the carrier has only been deployed for a little over 11 months and its moral is still fine. :D
(They are on training excercise, usually they are home by this time.)

Only part of me died, in a way.

Jumped my fleet into a system. The enemy was waiting, plasma carronades at the ready. A 16.000t destroyer exploded as the rest of the fleet jumped back. They didn't follow us. There is a second route into their system, let's hope it is less well defended. Otherwise suicide fighters will be the order of the day.

Well, at least I will have lightning reflexes the next time I try something like this.
But 2 Kills and the right to carry a shotgun are worth a couple days in the sickbay.
Now...did we get those good looking nurses back as well?

Astral:
underscore (?) [_] lets you see and switch MA styles.

if you stand over a blanket (or any clothing and some other stuff as well) and have something with a cutting quality you can utcher it like a corpse. B-z will cut everything to rags, patches chunks on that tile.

I am 65 years into my campaign and my heaviest warships are 30000t. Not counting fighters I have a lot less than 40 ships. If I include the commercial ones and PDCs it is more of course.

Usually throwing works well against those enemies you can't seem to hit in melee.

Though a highly mobile gunner is a thing of beauty. :D And it helps as their heavy weapons slow them down anyway, though it is not as bad as with Rocketeers.
