Run it on a credit system. Maybe if you are one of say, the first 10 zombies to turn and you survive until the end and exterminate the survivors then you get your next two lives free. Or allow players who pull that kind of thing off get to play in a vets-only city. Also, how would you deal with people wanting to leave to live their lives? You would need to set it up in scheduled rounds, maybe ten minutes a piece, where a certain number of players have to say lets go in order to begin. And allow those who didn't sign in to sit it out. But maybe these people should suffer detriments to stats in order for less people to share resources with.

You guys should read the novel Bloom. It deals with a time after cell-sized nanobots called mycora have absorbed everything in the inner solar system and humanity has moved outwards past the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Bloody good and it makes you worry about the nanomachines they're developing now.
Plus, if the AI placed self-replicating nanomachines in people's brains, thats a zombie apocalypse right there, as the nanomachines would be compelled to spread from person to person, infecting more and more. That would be worse than a pissed-off AI.

A world. Like, a game world, constantly updated so you can build, destroy, dig, kill, fight, hunt and spawn everything that has ever existed in life or the imagination. Also every weapon in the world. So you could recreate the Sistine Chapel, then fight Alien in there with a nunchuk. Or absolutely anything else you wanted.

To Shambling Zombie - I think sport hunting is ok as long as long as you remember the animal you hunted. Sort of how prehistoric inuit would take a memento of an animal they killed and remember it at a certain festival.
