A woman I know doesn't believe in evolution because she says there's no evidence, and that she can't put algae in a dish and have it evolve into a man. I would've pointed out that we have seen evolution in progress with bacteria becoming resistant to penicillin, and that even the punctuated equilibrium model of evolution doesn't occur anywhere near fast enough to turn algae into an animal (let alone a man) overnight, but I hate getting into arguments about evolution, and her argument would've just been filled with unlogic and contradictions as usual. She can believe what she believes, but she needs to at least learn something on what she's talking about.

I had a dream about my great grandfather. Although he lived to a ripe old age, I only have a few vague memories of him from when I was a very small child, mostly him flipping me off. In my dream, he just insulted me in a several paragraph long email. Oddly, the more vulgar and hateful his messages, the more I loved the old man.
Also there was a bit about a creature which kept ripping peoples' skin off, but that's not important.

It's weird because losing an eye often means dying of shock and blood loss rather quickly. Not to mention that Vriska, her ancestor, and Spades Slick all lost limbs as well.

Actually, I like it very much. There's nothing to add nor nothing to take away. Simplistic and beautiful.
I'm not saying it's bad, I like it, too. But the greatest in the thread is a bit of an overstatement.
