New updates coming, including resource gathering and base building. User created structures can be extremely defensive and also generate victory points which can help lock a continent down for one faction and generate a huge amount of experience points for all involved.

Yours truly is playing fairly regularly on TR as mainly heavy assault and sunderer pilot. I could be convinced to pick up some certs for spawning into airships so we can do shock drops onto enemy victory bases and mess them up.

What about taverns?  Do visitors provide coins or other income, or just a quirky visit?  If they're somehow lost to a cult of blood drinkers, will other visitors arrive?

Does this mean I could make a culture?  Populate a library with books about determination and strength, and dedicate my scholars to spreading the word of the iron fist!

Do books serve a purpose?  Can they raise skills, be traded, or read for good moods?

Do libraries attempt any sort of organization?  I'd love to generate a very old world and reconstruct legends mode into the pages of actual books.  Or do you end up with 300 books about how Urist McScribe was once scared by a particularly ugly plump helmet?

So my first instinct was 'Pig tails?  I guess I'll need to get pastures running.'  Though isn't parchment made of animal skin?  If I mod dwarves to butcher goblins, can I make a goblin skin book?

Give me the TL;DR on the update, then request what I should build.  First thought is 'bard's college' though having warrior librarians might be fun as well.

I'm probably either gonna build up the Red Rocket, or that one big Parking Lot with lot's of space. At least until the Mods fix those stupid locations. It's also teeth grinding how you can not build Crafting Stations until you leveld up that weird Leader perk twice. Especially since it's so damn far low on the list.

I've set up in ye olde canada.  Got coal, iron, and uranium.  I was going to set up new bases somewhere with uranium and/or lead, and become an arms baron, but I might stick here and become a nuclear powered tank warlord...

But t1 legs are basically just mobile, superior t1 eps at that point. Wouldn't you want better legs?
The idea is to have jets strong enough to enhance your jump, but not enough to fly.  So you end up with super jumps!

So, the game decidedly has health bars now, just represented by the size of your armor.  Skeletal blocks are made by the game.  Functional parts cannot be shot off, but the whole bot must be destroyed.

In that case, fliers just became the only thing worth playing.  You can't use a rail to shoot off their wings/rotors anymore, so they become HIGHLY stable and durable - in fact they become just as durable as any treaded tank.  I also believe this means rails will become either more effective for their high point of damage, or less effective because nothing falls off, and that plasmas will get massively more effective while smg just a bit of a buff.  Nano might also become godlike.  You don't lose bits, so two nanobots healing each other will always have 6/6 guns active at all times, healing each other.  Similarly healing another bot means the attacking bot can focus fire while the nano keeps its chunk health alive more easily.

I'll personally be preparing some broadside style nano walkers.  4 tiny legs, 6 nanos mounted as close to the legs as possible, and then broad strokes of armor.  It'll be a long, narrow bot that mainly fires on the left and right side.  Similarly, front-mounted SMGs will be favored.

In other news, has anyone tried using T1 mech legs and T10 jets to make a jumpjet walker?

One mech leg.  Small frame of skeletal blocks facing forward, with 6 SMG.  Entire rear of the bot is one MASSIVE cube of armor.  As I take damage, my skeleton is still intact because of armor, so all damage is directed to the chunk of armor.  My forward guns rip into the enemy as my back plate of armor slowly falls apart.

Alternatively, a few armor cubes encased in skeleton, which is indestructible, thus no one can shoot the armor and it survives all attacks, and I'm indestructible.
