BWOOOOOOOOOOO

yer welcome :v

Spoiler: this took a while (click to show/hide)

Not to derail, but this was uncannily familiar to something I captured while playing Total Warhammer
Spoiler: The Skaven Version (click to show/hide)
Hah, that's awesome. I mean, it is the realistic outcome when a tiny slaybro tries to fight a giant firebreathing thing. :V

... Who? Also thank. c:

Methinks Comrade Shook needs a proper CHALLENGE!

Quote
Few days later you appear at the gates of City of Blich (or what's left of it) with your royal entourage, and challenge the dragon to a duel!

The Dragon roars in a laughing manner but accepts the duel.

Quote
4

You charge against the dragon and poke his leg with a lance, and he breathes fire at your direction. The cloud of flames engulfs your horse and sears your legs and face and hands. You tumble from the horse and then roll away while the few courageous squires pap you with snow to extinguish the flames.

You and your entourage then outrun another fiery breath of the creature, while the dragon roars in amusement.

Either draw the entire comic or the bolded part.

I believe in u.

Sorry i can't be arsed to clean or detail most of it. Also probably not going to do every comic ever being requested, this is like 8 sketches in one go. :V

That is perfection. You are a marvel, tovarisch.
Haha, hardly, but i appreciate the sentiment. C:

I mean you did give me free reins on the silly. :P

Imma spectate comrade Shook cuz comrade Shook has some of funniest arts.

* Haspen smacks a post of spectating upon the thread.
Much thank, i hope not to disappoint TOO much. ;o

... For you!

So yeah, i know i'm not the first one to make a thread like this, and i know there are a couple of threads for general (f)art sharing, and those threads are great and should absolutely keep going. So why am i being a special snowflake? WELL LET ME TELL YOU:

I've been doing a lot of thinking (and some writing) about who i am as a person and what kind of person i want to be. Long story short, based on various factors and feelings and the fact that i can't stand playing evil characters in video games, i've concluded that i look up to people like Bob Ross and Mr. Rogers. I know i'm probably a bit too temperamental and occasionally trollish to actually be truly like them, but dammit, i'm still going to at least try being a good person. :v

So, starting small on that with what i can do, i'm gonna offer you guys free requests for drawings, condensed in this thread because i don't want to spam the other threads. I'm not be the best around by a long shot (see: deviantart page in signature), but hey, it's good practice and you guys have some crazy and fun ideas from time to time. Here's how it's going to work for now: You come up with ideas, and i'll draw them as i see fit (which is USUALLY in line with intention). I may say no for any or no reason, but i hope not to do that too much. The amount of effort i put in will vary, from sketch to fully coloured and shaded, largely dependent on how i feel and how complex the request is, and the medium will be either digital or traditional by my own choice. Also, for now, no NSFW things will be done. You may also offer as much or little criticism as you want, though i'm probably not going to do any significant corrections on a drawing. (mostly due to how i work)

"But what's the hitch?" you ask wisely. Well, at most, it's that you may also have to contend with personal drawings in here. No true hitches besides that; all i want to do here is to have fun and make people happy, and while i'm at it, figure out if this really is what i want to do. I'd call it self-exploration but that sounds lewder than it is. :V

That being said (and i feel like there's absolutely no smooth way to approach this topic so i'm just gonna approach it with the subtlety of a jackhammer), i'm running out of money, so IF - AND ONLY IF - you're feeling super wealthy and find that you want to support me doing this, i just recently set up a Ko-fi page. You absolutely don't have to, and i feel like a shit for even mentioning it, but it would be super appreciated. I'm not doing this whole gig for money, there are FAR more lucrative ways to spend my time, it's just... Well, probing the waters, i guess? If you'd rather spend your money on actually important things (i.e. Toady), that is totally fine and fair.

Anyhoo, open fire lads and ladettes and alads!

It is? Huh. I've been a rude boi. :V
Personally i'm always (if passively) looking for feedback, since it helps me iron out those annoying little flaws that i miss myself, and also helps me avoid getting too complacent. I guess i should make it a habit to actually state that rather than silently and cryptically imply that to be the case. :P

Yeah, i'm not too bothered by things like that as long as the meaning comes across fine (which it does!). Looking great so far, i'll be keeping an eye open. c:

Also nice !!dinosaur!! :D
MUCH THANK

I feel like i often forget to voice/text my appreciation for the kind words i get. I know this is probably a complete given to you guys, but my subconscious wants me to state that it's not my intention to be rude when doing so, i'm just a forgetful boob. :V

also finally getting a bit back in the drawing groove after having been in a slump for weeks now

Looking for some feedback on this one:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
[occasionally dabbling animator noises]

ok actually calling myself an animator is a HUGE stretch

Dogpiling on top of what Cathar said, also needs moar exaggeration and whole body motion. Like, for this kick, it's mostly only the lower leg actually moving, and while that's relatively realistic as far as front kicks go (at least the quick non-heavy ones), it's just not that visually interesting to look at. Gotta bring that leg way back, arc the body like a taught bow, sling that foot out like some crazy dude slinging his foot out to kick someone in the face really hard, let it linger for just a brief moment to let people feel just how much that shit hurt, and then briskly bring it back to the starting position so you don't have to animate too many recovery frames. Keeping all this bending and stretching centered above the base of support is what makes it look natural, because humens don't like falling over. :v

Now, i've not done this nearly enough to call myself anything close to proficient at it, but i attempted to sketch up a quick sequence to show what i mean:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This could probably be stretched to like 12 frames, but i'm a lazy man and also keyframes. This isn't even as exaggerated as i intended, but o well lol. :v

also i've been in a heckin slump but here have a few doodlings

doodles are excellent and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise

Also i mean, it's technically not impossible that a security guard would be a werewoof. :V

also also a zappy shiny thing

on a scale from 1 to 10, tactical woof is a good boy

Two things though; compared to human proportions (which aren't necessarily applicable to dogs), arms are rather long and the legs are MASSIVE. Your preference for thicc legs may or may not be shining through here. :V

So a friend was waffling between suggesting that I draw "a cat, that is awesome in some manner", or "a temple swallowed by roots - like in Angkor Wat".
I took the middle road and drew a cat, that is also a temple.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
mor liek angkor CAT m i rite

..........

Well, i agree with Haspen's sentiment in any case. :v

also things

Man, if that gesture was fatal in reality, i would have died many times now. :P

That snake is me upon figuring out someone came outta nowhere with an FM tracker and an API for running the songs in games. Here's a simple track I wrote with it to test it out.

And some stuff for Pimiko Plus:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Groovy! That seems like a nice kind of surprise. :v
Also looking very nice! The top-wall orange kind of blends a bit into the carpet on the floor, but i'm assuming that this is due to a limited palette.

Also, Jopax and Shook, you've improved a lot since I've last seen you. Great job!
Eyyyyyyyyy much thank! I see you've also been up to a lot of cool things, which is awesome. Slightly sad that we can't see more of your sweet things, but the reasoning is understandable. I've given up on maintaining anonymity long ago, but hey! :V

also i drew a steamderg

Spoiler: toot (click to show/hide)

Now to figure out if i can be arsed to shade it. :I

Well that certainly gets my hype levels up if it's a whole month of that kind of quality. :v

Also I've come to realise that I'm a half-assed kind of artist, half of that robot looks good but the other is just ass :V
OHOHOH THAT SLAPS ME ON THE KNEE

half-assed: see most of my pencil drawings, i barely even get around to erasing the construction lines

@Arx: Mm, goot dump. The archer, sunset, warehouse and bug would be my favourites. I'm not a huge fan of perfect symmetry, but the bug gets a pass because it looks cool. :v

also pencil doodlings
