I read the forums for this game as I was thinking about trying it out. All I could find were people complaining about the massive grind and how they will quit once beta is over. Oh and how incompetent the devs are. I was scared away.

« on: March 24, 2011, 06:11:51 pm »Ah, I have 7 Lows to use, I'm planning on using 5 for the tank (4 Hardeners, 2 of each of the main damage types in the mission, and a repper), and 2 damage mods isn't bad, I think.
I don't have enough Mids to mount a decent shield tank anyway. I want a tracking Comp in the mids, and that leaves me 3 for a tank, which is just silly.
After buying and fitting a Harbi for tomorrows Roam, I'm again 147 million from the Abaddon. I really need to stop spending money.
What language do you speak?

Oh I did not notice that, thanks. But again wouldent you make more money investing in the merchant line and production than you would save from philosophy.

Well if I had spent the points in forced march instead of arts I would be getting allot more honour and having allot more fun fighting. Although to be fair I would also have to spend points in things like fletching and so on I guess. Still I do regreat going down the arts route. Not that its useless mind you it's still nice to get the honour boost....

Im actually not even sure is arts is the best way to go, it might be better to go banqueting. With arts you only get honour. Banqueting you get honour, items to sell, extra honour if you can scout things like wine, and things to donate to the parish.
Instead of arts also you could invest in troops and troop movement again troops are usefull for many things and you seem to get more honour fighting bandits etc than the arts.
Anyway this is the sort of forward planning I should have done before

I would have to say no, you really need to plan what you are going to invest in ahead... You can only do this by playing and making mistakes though

I had a try out of my girlfriends copy and it does seem to take a decent amount of time to do each quest even if you speed through. I imagine if you actually read the notes/ conversations or dare I say it try and role play there is ALLOT of hours you can get out of this. I fully expect my girlfriend never to finish it.
It does need the option to go into free mode untill you feel like doing a quest and god damn these daily tasks are annoying after awhile...
But i have to say even though it might not be my thing for what it is, it's great very nice idea and really polished.
