I would do a backstory on Hans, But there isn't much stuff that would be interesting about a merchant.

Ok then, we at least know what is going on.
And I see that being a GM kinda reduces the amount of un you can have, especially when you are a king. But hey, if you are not tired enough to quit thats a good thing, isn't it?
I thought that the entire Guilds thing might be interesting, because you add in another power player into the entire equation, and the demands of ther middle classes might become more important.

Besides, Erik could look for a wife or something, and lot of people could profit by trying to push their candidates, as to influence him. after all, gaing of royal favor was one of the most important elemnts of Politics back in a day,

Either way, I'm happy to hear that we still got some steam in this thing.

So far most of the situations can be handled without Iituem, as long as the secondary GMs do not have any vested interests in the rolls. Besides we've been driving the poor guy pretty hard so let him do whatever.

From What I recall, our secondary Gms are thatkid, Knave, Yoink and a fourth person whom I cannot recall. Ghazkull? I think he would qualify if he rules over them clans and whatnot. But remeber guys, we cannot proceed unless we see that there is at least a common agreement between seconday GMs that they are willing to proceed.

Gentlemen, please keep the discussion IC. There is no point to the OOC argument, because it will get messy.

Well yeah, but its 5d for a shipload I would assume, and since a ship can ferry more than one slave, a price per head is bound to be lower.
Why are we talking about slavery btw? Isn't it outlawed in Elbreth or something?

So how long do I still have to wait for an audience to end? Is there something still unresolved?

I believe that the things as they are right now are sufficient and prevent overt powergaming. I mean, if my business allowed me to buy a county I would, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the RP element of the entire thing. I think gaining influence with the king or a prince and steering them is much more fun and lets you keep you business while others take care of the grunt work.

I think the current separation works for the best.
Nobles dabbling in business is most likely to be an 18th century thing, while trade companies owning land and so on would only apply to overseas colonies. Mind you, i'm just citing history, not actual rules.

So yeah. Keep them separate. But if you got the ear of the prince or a poweful lover, you don't need to control anything yourself, just nudge them in the direction you want.

Well obviously. About the laws though I was thinking IC, not as in rules per say. although if we hardrule it that you either have a business or land then its still ok with me.

Well, if you manage to get into a position of power, like for example yoink did, then you may do rolls. Its not that we don't want more help for GMs or more GMs coming forth. Its just the rules of who gets to do it and how that keep everething together in a coherent way. Just be patient.
