Nicolas looks for an opportunity to leave via storage rooms - three was still to much of an odds against him, and he needed to get to the Captain or whoever was not yet dead that could get a handle on the situation.  So far, security was staging a coup and it might have been to late for Captain Garland, yet Nicolas was yet to find out the truth.

Science officer was in the armory, whereas Santiago is after the medbay. He had to avoid both and make it to the bridge.

As much as I like this game idea, there's no use spreading yourself thin, but I think I told you that already  ;). Sorry for my rather harsh language earlier, but my only wish was to know what was going on exactly, since I remember all the games you used to do and how well they ran.

I am getting on with other games so I am in no desperate need. Running one game at a time, unless its a small game is more than sensible approach for anyone.

Ardmir was not fated to get any rest yet, with more fight on the horizon.

Get a quick binding of the wound on the head to stop the blood
Follow the prince and lead the Guard again.

Ardmir only wipes the blood away and curses silently, beckoning one of the Gate Guards to help him with the wound.

gwyn steps closer towards the group, so that the light illuminates his face.

A mountain of meat and scars, he made an impression of a man that could kill with a single punch. His had, wrapped in a studded leather contributed to it.  His eyes had none of the dullness of a big ox, instead being those of a predator, with an intelligent glow in them.

"Your plan has merit, yet you know next to nothing how and where we will meet them." He spoke softly, with his deep voice carrying itself across the chamber. "And bringing a force forth with you will only agitate them or make them guarded. You want them surprised, is that not the case? You only want minimal force with you, perhaps yourself alone with another Cabal member, while we have everyone else, while the rest of us surround them and sneak up on them. If its boats, I need strong swimmers to board undetected. If its a meeting point on land, we only need to make a bigger circle around them and reach them while you make your terms."

As he finished, he gave a small smile.

"Other than that, its a good plan. No survivors, no word about our lack of trust or honoring our deals."

"Indeed my lord, a good fight  is a dwarven thing. As long as its done in the right manner and circumstance 'course..."

Ardmir looks at the refugees and their leader dispassionately. To him they mean nothing, never did. As the Gate Guard, keeping the King's peace in the fortress and watch over the flow of incomers always meant that he was wary of outsiders. But it seems his prince had other ideas. He could only conform and learn for now. He did not protect Kraka Aevi from outsiders good enough, his ways had to be faulty. But old habits die hard....

Ardmir cursed silently to himself and with a heavy sigh followed his prince.

Charge!

Ardmir was first to speak up, to advise his prince. "My lord, let's wait and see how the nomads fare. We have no business getting mixed up when its our people that we have to think about first and foremost."

Without making this personal,  but I've had my share of iituem games to know how it will end. Well, fool me once...

(( Is this another one of these games where we waste time because GM is fickle and makes his games disposable flights of fancy without telling anyone?))

Ardmir followed the prince in silence. He wanted to speak out and scream at all gathered, that he did all that he could. Yet he said nothing, shamed and despised for forsaking his duty, which was to perish while letting others escape. Only the prince could have any sympathy for saving him. He had to follow him in order to redeem himself somehow, if there was such word in dwarven language.

Shivering slightly from the cold, Nicolas assessed his situation quickly. Hostiles were on the prowl and it seemed that the crew was not woken up yet, or at least the more important people. He had to get to the chief officers somehow.

The man sipping the vile reconstituted nutrients seemed like the choice target. Nicolas wasn't used to covert operations, although sneaking and brawling did come handy more than once - exiting besieged compounds to extract or ambushes on many a warlord in Earth's war zones did happen more than once, as peacekeeping turned into outright war on behalf of the international community.

Nicolas gritted his teeth to avoid chattering them and moved from behind his tank, trying to stay out of sight of the guards and to encircle the one drinking his lunch. It won't be easy but more than his life were at stake - whoever these people were, they were not aligned with the Unity mission.
