Yeah, if you thought the hybrid turn-based/real-time mechanic in Baldur's Gate was boring then get ready for Fallout 1/2 where you will be spending half an hour in combat, mostly waiting for 10 enemies to navigate through terrain and houses to get close enough to shoot at or whatever.

Dwarf Fortress gets attention from websites and forums that are centered around gaming, it just brings in the teens and the twenty-somethings that are even further up (further down?) on the nerd/geek ladder than the people that play "mainstream" games or whatever.

This also explains why Various Nonsense was closed.

I did mention their other games, I said that Bioware has been shit since Neverwinter Nights. That would imply that from 2002 to 2008 I've thought their games were crap.
