I'm thinking Lithuanian because access to sea, but then I noticed that the rivers are totally ok for ships Lithuania still sounds good because of those 1-territory tribes and counts around. And overally being closer to the sea and the Catholic counts.
Taking another look, yeah. Taking territories of modern-day Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia should be easy and simple.

Yes, it is what you think it is.
You are looking at the forces of Munsterian War for whatever. As in, pretty much every single vassal of the former king Ivar II.
But what happened?


Back in the day, when Ivar II was just getting comfy on his throne, his heir was his daughter, Princess Edla of Scotland. I figured 'well you don't get those opportunities often' and married her to my brother. Luckily, I was on good terms with Ivar and he even agreed for a normal marriage.


Thing is, sometime before his death, he got a son, Sigtrygg. Very shortly before his death, actually - as I'm writing this, the son is a year old. I thought what the hell, let's try one of those faction things. It was the first time I presented an ultimatum as leader of a faction, so I didn't know what I was doing. And bam, Sigtrygg declared war on me. I'm saying 'oh you want war? yer getting war, you fuckin asshat boi' and a cool icon appears at the top. And it shows me 10+ vassals of the former liege that I can invite to war.
I invited every single one of them.


I do not know how this will work, probably won't become the king of Scotland or anything, but still. Mixing your blood is funn.

We fuckin did it.
The kid obviously didn't stand a chance, but still. 10k allied troops is always a nice sight.
After Edla was placed on the throne, independence factions sprung. And got accepted. So I applied for independence too. And got accepted.

I'm King Gilla-Crist I of Hlymrek, and this game is fucking amazing.

Well, then try to kill yourself and get twice the territories. Or does it not work like that?

Damn... this Gavelkind succession is pissing me off, big time. Can I change my religion to Catholic or something?

I started reading this three days ago, today I didn't even notice how fast I went thru all those pages, and the first time I get to post is after this.
Love the last two lines, though. Makes me want to make an audiobook out of all this.

There's only so much a single sat can do, and even if you have 20 of them or something, that's still not gonna do against a big fleet with electronic hardening.
Unless you made a metric shiteton of those, which considering they are fighters, is perfectly normal 

That is actually a very cool concept - using fighters for maintenence and refueling. Sort of makes me think of single-use plastic cups and napkins, only more awesome and cheaper.
What you could do as well is make a giant base with fuel, ordinance and MSP in it, tow it somewhere strategical, and then have it sit there for ages until it runs out of fuel and get's liberally stripped of all modules and built again.

The man with claim problems: spend all your money and wives on inviting the best diplomat in the realm to your court. I got a spymaster with 21 intrigue, that gives me 20-30% chance of everything.
