Is Dinesen a common name? Because I definitely have a Dinesen somewhere back in my family tree.
It's not the most common, but neither is it the most rare.
My branch of the family all have Skovgaard as a middlename though.
Also, my biological family is huge, with grandma and great-grandmother had like, 7 and 13 siblings respectively.
We don't see any of them though.
It basicly just means Son of Dines though, so whoever had a dad named Dines when the lastname reform hit in the 17th-18th century (Forgot which.) basicly got this lastname.
Dines is danified Dionysus.
