Curses / Re: Help with disguises
« on: July 07, 2011, 10:28:17 am »
Disguise has 2 advantages over stealth: Disguise enable to sneak more person inside (try sneaking 6 persons in an appartment), and is based on Charisma (that means if you have low Agility but high Charisma, you can still sneak around, and high end seducers are also good at disguise). But the best is to have the two: if you fail sneaking where you are wearing a valid disguise, you get another try.

(Not has anything to do with the subject: PS: I'm having some problems with the forum: When I type messages long enough (more than 1 line), I eventually type outside of the screen. Does anybody know why that happens? http://www.mediafire.com/?nled8ur3gh29g2q )

Only from the safe. Safecracking is worth 50 juice, and the safe at the corporate HQ has only files in it. And even if the COE safe is empty, you still gain 50 juice for cracking it.

There is also sneaking in the corporate HQ to steal documents from the safe, sneaking in the COE Mansion/Castel to crack the safe for lots of money, and releasing prisonners, worth 50 juice each. You'll get charged for theft, theft, andn releasing prisonners, respectively.

I have an alternate idea to clean the CCS: how about considering them as a reverse LCS? They could have a finite number of vigilante, dead vigilante having a random chance of being replaced each mounth, and a random chance of expanding. They could also try to abduct or kill random obvious LCS members (Obvious as in have done some remarquable activism) during daily, triggering a fight just like the Police/Death quads arresting you, and, in case of a kidnapping, giving you a few days to rescue them before they talk to the CCS about your safe houses, which would then send booby traps expert who have a good chance to disarm traps along with Elite Vigilante. The CCS could be forced to disband by clearing their leaders by any way you can think of (Dating, abduction, guitar/talking attacks). They would be special spawn, identified only with good street sense skill or through dating. Also, CCS vigilantes enlightened or turned Liberals via guitar or talking attacks could never be used as sleepers. Sleeper CCS vigilantes would have Advocate Liberalism replaced by Sabotage the CCS efforts, decresing their efficiency and defense. Before having on site actions in their safehouses, they could be ordered to either conveniently "forget to lock" doors, "store" weapons (putting them in storage, meaning the CCS have to spend a few turns before getting some real weapons), "maintaining" the electronics (no lights, stealth and disguise bonus), having chances to get caught and executed depending on their efficiency level and the job asked, or just walk away to a Liberal Safehouse while taking equipement with them (CCS safehouse under equiped for the fight). And you have a complete map of traps, allowing you to avoid them entirely. Characters would have a chance to spot traps using Intelligence (and a few jobs would have bonuses to it: namely Agents, Soldiers, mercenaries CCS booby traps experts) whether they are Liberals storming CCS safehouse or Conservatives storming LCS safehouses.

How's the idea?

Good, but just a few things:

Will masochistic/hardcore LCS players still be able to chose "We didn't start the fire" and have the improved CCS right from the beginning?
Do corporate/CIA/AM Radio/Cable News files count as private informations, or only the COE letters/photos do?
What does "Obstructing the Justice system" means? Does that means having a chitchat with thu Jury at the Court House? Do sleeper judges count for this one?
And last but not least: would there be a way to non violently disband the CCS?

You could also send a bunch of hippies with 20 music skill and some guitars to play epic riffs to them, and then date them, or talk about issues to them. Or Liberal Judges with maxed out persuasion. Or eminent scientists, or... You got the point.

Try seducing random people. You will get the skill pretty quick! Do not leave until you get your first date or until your seduction skill says X.99+. Or prostitution.

Why so much brainstorming to introduce stealing a tank in LCS? Why not just introduce BUYING one?

The prostitute's parents were bee farmers and and they used flamethrowers as population control. Then a CONSERVATIVE BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT foreclosed the bee farm and she was left to sell herself on the street. She still fondly remembers her bee-torching days, and probably reads magazines about flamethrowers, as they remind her of happier times.

Yeah. I forgot that flamethrowers were actually legal in the USA. http://www.cracked.com/article_17016_7-items-you-wont-believe-are-actually-legal.html

Nevermind then.

Now I said that... How about buying some at the pawn shop?

Thanks.

Hello!

I'm having some problem with randomly generated stats.

I can understand a prostitute with 10 base Int and 8 base AG. Some of these girls are smart and swift, and just had bad luck.

But where the hell did a prostitute learned some heavy weapons handling? (Please don't make that easy joke. Please.) How a prostitute can have 4 heavy weapons skill?

I just don't get that! That just shouldn't happen!

Want a screenshot?

Could you tweak a bit with the randomly generated skills so stuff like that doesn't happens? Please?

Thank you!

I mean getting right for the execution, killing the executionner, and running away directly in front of the cameras.

Reporter: We are coming to you live for the execution of this terrorist, guilty of 33 counts of treason, 233 counts of flag murders, 50 counts of murder, 30 counts of aiding a prison escape, 4 counts of breaking and entering, 3 counts of disturbing the peace, and vandalism. He will get killed by *BLAM* *Falls dead, headless*.
LCS squad: We are the Liberal Crime Squad, and we do not give up our soldiers!
LCS prisonner: Whoa! It's you guys! Thanks for the release!

*Gunfighting noises, hot pursuit with both the death squads and the CIA...*

All the LCS: Wohooooo! We made it!

Huge boost tu public opinion.

Hello!

I was thinking: how about being able to rescue Liberals from execution?

Not just bust them out of the death row, mind you. Freing them as they are about to be dumped in the sewage system, used as chemical weapons tests, or whatever execution methods is used, for a huge juice and public opinion boost, but also obviously a lot trickier?

Thanks!
