He seems to like the gatehouse.. I have  made a staircase outside and now my dwarfs are running around collecting and doing what ever needed outside.

But the Titan seems to prefer the door and the safety of the cage traps..

I did not know that...

And, there is a staircase type thing built to route him up to the top of the tower where the farm is..
The idea is to somehow get him up there, to shoot webs at what/who ever we send up there.. then to lift the floodgates up
and collect everything..

I can't seem to find a way to lead that thing to the farm.. Any suggestions?

Because I don't like cave in's.. And if that was switched we would loose the tree farm, And maybe a few areas in the mine.

Epic.. So, Here is an update for my turn.

-A few people died for random reasons,
-All workers and jobs have been updated and fixed\sorted
-Finished the webfarm, And about to go bring the guy up there.
-Trying to figure out a way to dispense web over the traps
-And taking ideas for the last thing I wrote

I do believe Toady is working on Sheathing within the next release or so... But I agree with you,
Once implemented I think a dwarf will/should be able to throw a few things then switch out to what ever weapon he has ready..

I think there should be throwing in Fortress mode,

Having troops carrying a backback/item of related use. Full of throwable items..
Small daggers,Spikes,Javalins.. ect.

The range would be shorter then a Cbow or bow, Which would cause more damage\penetration Making it more effective against armor.

Also due to not carrying a cbow\quiver + bolts would reduce the weight a bit, making them more usefull in metalic armor.

Training could be roughly the same as a archer, Minus the loss of objects due to the item breaking on impact.

Other then that, I think having a squad or civillian millitia of dwarfs packed to the brim with throwing weapons would be nice.
Due to throwing being my faveorite skill in Adventurer..

It seems like no matter how many times I kill all the elfs but one, or seize stuff from the Humans.. ect..
They never declare war, And come back next year to trade..

Is this supposed to take a long time?..

And out of the many years I have played DF.. this still has never happened to me. Even after worldGen!

Suggestions? ideas?..
