I hope that someday Tarn allows for a syndrome to induce the production of a custom fluid in the infected creature.
This syndrome, Red Mania, induces insanity (any type), rots the skin and eyes out, increases strength tenfold, and replaces the infected's puss with Red Mania.

More blood vessels in a larger conduit allows for a higher possible blood pressure, increasing the blood flow.
(Compare fish to mammals).

(Seriously, I've had a Dwarf chop down a minatour with a training sword before. Kept whacking the poor thing until it no longer had any eyes, ears or a nose.)

Deserts have plant life, lots of it, even the one in the posted picture...if u want lifeless... U need a martian desert...
Or pick a desert that says no trees, and no plant life

I actually found a wierd desert once, that actually froze over in winter, and scorched in every other season. Odd.
