How do you know you're going to die easily if you've only skimmed over the rules and never played the game before?

Oh, just remembered you guys STILL need a hated enemy that ties into your homeworld background.

Hey Bd, will it be possible in this to get NPC engineers to do weapon mods for me? They're best suited to it anyway.
Depends. Simple modifications which are generally approved attachments to a weapon are okay, but any kind of mod working with the fine tuning of any of the internal parts is strictly forbidden. You have to keep in mind that most people view technology in sort of a superstitious way, and they see modifying items without the proper rites and incantations poses a risk of "upsetting the machine spirits." You guys are from a forge world, so you're very likely to know more about how to "properly please a machine spirit" (Such as performing the rite of unjamming, or knowing the proper holy oils needed to keep the machine spirit inside of your gun happy). Any kind of modifications that aren't simple attachments is again, forbidden. They don't want the troops messing up their items or disturbing machine spirits, even if it does seem beneficial. If you want anything beyond a simple weapon modification, you'll have to keep it hidden, and if they find out you did it you'll be in A LOT of trouble for messing with the gear that was given to you.

Also, I'd still very much like people to link their character sheet, and for the people who haven't fully finished theirs to get around to doing it. Also, I'd like to note you guys really don't know WHAT you'll be doing in this campaign. Sure, you'll be drop troops but it's not like every battle is going to revolve around you dropping in from above.

Maybe people just shouldn't be so easily offended by things said to you on the internet? You don't know the person personally, they have no actual knowledge of your life and neither do you of theirs, and things said shouldn't actually affect you on a deep personal level. If you're so insecure and easily offended by things said on the internet, then maybe you need to focus more on your own personal problems rather than how you feel when someone on the internet says a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure there are already various IRC channels that members of the forum go to.

You're not real MadMalkavian, you're a figment of your own imagination, which in turn is a figment of my own imagination. THIS ISN'T REAL.
I don't find this funny.
I guess we have different senses of humor then, because I find it marginally funny.

Sure, fine then. I'll just make up a fitting armor value for any individual pieces you decide to put on. I forgot how much players like to focus on things that are only marginally important.

Also, can everyone please link/post the most update version of their character sheet for me? I'd rather not have to crawl through the thread looking for them all. Because once we get all finished character sheets, we can actually start.

I'd be interested if TopHat can't do it.

Are we going to ask for reparations?
I will, yes. I just need to know how many troops Sensei lost along with how much damage he took to his growth.

If it was separate pieces then the full armor wouldn't just have a flat AP rating, and would have varying AP depending on what place it was protecting.

Saving has been an industry standard for a very long time, there's frankly no excuse to not include it unless you were originally intending for the game to be on a device that couldn't handle saving very easily. Defending lazy programming because "they're a small company" or "were on a time limit" is no excuse. If everyone else in the industry does it, INCLUDING indie developers, then why couldn't they do it?

He should very well get reparations, considering he was bombed and attacked multiple times and various alliance members had to send their own money and troops in the event he didn't stop.

I was under the impression that the Imperial Flak Armor was a full body-type suit, considering that individual pieces of armor aren't listed in the equipment section like normal flak armor is.

Yes, those points help 5/6ths of the squad, which seems to be a clear majority and a large benefit to the entire squad as a whole. Also, trading your armor may or may not get you into trouble, as different regiments have different rules regarding uniforms and equipment and the Department of Munitorium probably wouldn't appreciate the armor you were specifically given to be traded through illegal means.

I just assumed you'd want to keep the Carapace armor, because armor weight doesn't factor into any major besides the maximum amount you can carry, and I can assure you I'm not going to be super strict about item weight. It's not going to make you slower, and you'd basically have a little bit more protection than everyone else which can make the difference between taking damage, or not taking damage at all.
