Okay, I have a serious hatred of whomever made the Horizons pack for Feed the Beast, and kept the Fanmade Endermen. My god, they are annoying. All you can hear are these whispers and then they attack and immediately teleport away. Plus, they have the patience of a god, they don't burn in sunlight, and they don't seem to take damage from water. Oh, and they have twice as much health as a normal enderman. So, they're pretty much normal endermen, but on steroids, and none of the drawbacks. Bastards.

Minecraft, Horizons FTB modpack.

I seem to have a history of getting hurt doing stupid things. Did a backflip off a swing set, and dug a shallow trench with my face as I landed on it. Climbing to the top of a pile of firewood, and falling back down to the bottom. Got a second degree flash burn on 80% of my left arm because I was using it to rest my hand on as I welded with a short sleeve t-shirt on. Sliced my fingers nearly to the bone trying to get a spearhead onto the shaft without wearing gloves.

The RD can be hella powerful even without spamming stun revolvers. Many a round as RD I've made a Durand, and kitted it out with grenade launchers and lasers. Plus you've got toxins, and xenobio. A competent RD can easily become more powerful than security. Now, that said, it's now easier to just spam guns.

Greatwyrmgold is addicted to arguing, and because he was arguing so much in the OOC thread for ER, Piecewise said "Fuck it, you wanna argue do it there."

MUAHAHAHAHAHAH! I AM A WEED SMOKING, VODKA DRINKING, SHOTGUN TOTING BADASS. I had completed all I could in Zaton, and had to tackle the Iron Forest anomaly. Within it, are a horde of mutated humans and zombies, two controllers, a poltergeist, and a fucking CHIMERA. Through liberal application of chokepoints, grenades, and headshots, I kill them all. ALL SHALL FALL BEFORE ME! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! All is forgiven game. I know you put me through hell, and will again, but dammit when shit like this happens, I love you. Never change.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat, MISERY 2.1 mod. And yes, this mod follows the Cataclysm:DDA drug formula.

So, I've been playing Call of Pripyat lately, and I was out near Noah's barge, and decided to check in on him. So I get to the door, stand at the side, because he always shoots at you when you open the door, open it, and nothing. No shot. I open the door all the way, and all there is is his shotgun, sitting on the floor. No Noah, no pet Pseudodog, nothing. I  don't know how he died, or when, but dammit, I liked him.

From what I understand, they're investigating him because he slaughtered his way through hordes of orcs, Daemons, and killed a Chaos Prince. Yes, he's a Space Marine, but he did it without any help. That's not usually survivable, so for him to have survived is a little odd.

This mission. I breeze through the first part, having killed all the bloodsuckers in Krug Antenna Complex before starting the mission, and figuring out they don't respawn after several minutes of "Nothing is Scarier". Then I go get a canister of poison gas, which is on a bridge within sight of some Mercenaries with seriously good aim, and an endless supply of bullets. Okay, after trying to fight them once and failing, I sneak in, and run like hell when I get the gas. Then I need to go hook up the canister to the ventilation at Krug. No problem. Hook up the can, turn valve, wait for gas to take effect. And what do I hear? A bloodsucker scream. The kind that says "Oh hey, a tasty looking human. Imma go suck his blood." And two of them rush me. Now, I've killed bloodsuckers before, but that was when I had both the element of surprise, and enclosed spaces with grenades. This is open space, they both see me, and I've got a Saiga and the same armor I started the game in, minus about 80% durability. Die, reload. Rinse, repeat. God, I hate this game sometimes. But dammit, it's so goddamn satisfying when you stand before the Swiss-cheesed remains of two bloodsuckers. Then I die to flesh on the way back to Sakadovsk, because that took all of my healing items. Such is the Zone. At least I got enough cash to upgrade my gear after that.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat, MISERY 2.1 mod. Got a serious love/hate relationship with this mod.

Team B: Wild Weasels

"Wonder what these buttons do? Hrmmm. Perhaps I should avoid all the big red ones."

Examine the buttons in detail, and look for anything that might explain which buttons do what. If I cannot find anything that would explain which ones to press, use my best judgement, and push some buttons.

((You have no idea how tempting it was to just say "PUSH ALLLLL THE BUTTONS!"))

So, after many tries, I finally found out what was killing me at the Iron Forest. A Controller has apparently set up shop there. A fucking Controller. I'm a USS Sniper, which means I am good at extremely long range. So are Controllers, but they only need line of sight to murderize you, plus they melt your brain with one shot, no matter how much weed you smoke. Now, I'm also damn good with shotguns, but Controllers have a Psi-field around them which, again, melts your brain regardless of weed smoked. Oh, and he has a ton of mutated humans under his control, that he sends first. This one mutant is a hard counter to me right now. I can't even touch the thing, because he can get off an attack before I can, and his buddies can keep me pinned until he gets LoS. Welp, time to go die elsewhere. So, I head off to find a canister of poison gas so I can use it to finish off the Bloodsucker lair the now deceased Grouse and I found. So, I get to the military convoy near the waste processing plant, and turns out, the goddamn Mercs can see me, and have waaay better gear than I do, and as such require headshots to put down without emptying my pitiful stock of ammunition. Oh, and did I mention there's about fifteen of them? Fuck man, all I wanna do is steal some poison gas in a container that, knowing this mod, leaks and poisons you. I cannot wait until I can get Lynx, my beloved SVD. Then I'm gonna snipe every last one of you shits.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat, MISERY 2.1 mod. And I'm STILL in fucking Zaton.

Hey, at least I'm limiting it to one argument instead of massive walls of text. And if GWG decides to continue, I'll take it to PMs.

Because they've probably done that? I agree that the UWM will probably design their ships to be "light". But the ships still weigh enough that they would collapse under their own mass if they ever landed on a planet without one of the special docking cages the Sword is currently in. That's still an enormous amount of mass. Sure, the amount of heat poured into the corridor would have buckled it to hell, and maybe some adjacent corridors too. But you might as well have tried to distort a metal plate with a match than actually affect the superstructure of the ship.

Matter converter Amps/Manipulators. All they need is matter, any matter. They could take dirt and turn it into uranium. Hell, Miyamoto created C4 from dirt. Traditional mining has a lot of waste material, whether it's oreless rock from between veins, or slag from the smelting process. With a Matter Converter Automanipulator, the shove all that in one end, and get high grade hull plates out the other. Material and weight don't matter to the UWM. They have the tools to circumvent the problems modern space exploration faces.
