The staircase should be placed so it is the opposite of the one above it.

I will vote but will not suggest any traditions

A wiki sounds like a good idea.

To the Overseer

if there isn't an aquifer, could you expand the throne room south one block, so it will be an odd number wide?  Then build a downward staircase symmetrical with the up down one.

I would like you to then carve out a rectangular dining room that is in the same "frame" as the throne room above it.

It costs one influence to press a dwarf into service, right?

Also, if my requests become annoying or confusing just upload the save so I can add the plans myself and then I will reupload back to you.

I vote neblime.  He has done a fantastic job of running the fort and is still interested in doing so.

To the overseer

Well damn.

Can you remove the middle walls and make the room symmetrical up and down by mining down south?  I needed a throne room anyways.  Do you think it would be wise for me to make the rest of my rooms beneath my throne?

19
Thank you for your hard work neblime!  :)

20
Did we ever decide how stone/mineral ownership fell? Does it belong to the fort or the miner?

I think it should belong to the miner, but it should be up to the overseer how to track it (weather credits or dumps or other things)

21
Continue my previous order.  Thanks.

22
Yeah pierce the aquifer first.  It's for the good of the fortress.

(EDIT: Could you add a picture of the current fort at the end of your next entry?)

23
I am here now.  Are we doing bi yearly meetings?  Can you add my chart to the influence OP http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/happyhobo2000/InfluenceDFRPG-2.png ?

Trade- Accepting

Well, Armorsmith I see, I'm sure i'll be making my own armor in the near future once I get a few bars and other stuff. Seeing the owned stuff people have, I'll have to bargain my way into getting the bars or earn them. Anyway, Would it be possible to get a miner to dig out a forge for me as i'll be needing it to make armor and other metal related things?

I will dig it out for you, in return for a helmet of iron or better.

Trade- asking for

I would like a way to use my mining and my gemmaking to gain 7 wood of the same type please.

To the overseer

I would like to dig out 5 connected 4x4 rooms, with the connection running along the top..  The first will be my office, the next one will be my jewler, the next one will be my gem stockpile, then bedroom, then my tomb.  Have to start making end of life preperations now.  I know I don't have any materials to fill them up.  Place as is convenient, but put under the protection of the fort ( so connecting to the main fort, can be further underground, but please don't fill my house with aquifer water).  I'll add rooms for my kids later.  This will probably end up being my personal palace, so please place conveniently for the long term!

After this, I would like to give my labors to the overseer so long as he doesn't try to kill me.

24
So are we not going to do personal management for the first year?

25
Apologies for being absent.  There have been family difficulties recently.  I will resume my participation in this tomorrow.

26
But I mean how would we actually indicate it is ours in game?  Would the overseer just look at an area that was just dug out and say

"Rabidanubis has 10 granite and 3 zircone" or is there some way to force items to go to specific stockpiles

27
How are we going to manage the mineral consumption of the fort?  Do the miners keep what they get and the rooms we dig out?

I agree with the settings

28
yeah, medical tasks are assigned more frequently now. have have had my chief medical dwarf give water to an entirely uninquired dabbling mason who was making rock blocks. said mason was thirsty and while i didnt check, im guessing he was diligent or the like. so said mason got a happy thought from getting water, and medical dwarf got a unhappy for having to give water.

Why would you make your doctor someone who doesn't like to help others?

TO MAKE THEM SUFFER!

29
I don't think that would work too well.  What do we get for voting threatened?

30
I think a 1x 3x 5x system would work well.  For instance if there is a siege then the influence could be 3x, and if they won a major siege it could go up to 5x for a session.  Since it is title influence it is only defensive anyways, meaning that people just can't fuck with you while its happening.
