Having the same issue, killing them at the de bar and grill doesnt work killed probably 20 ccs and at least 50 "vigilantes" (police) that arrived. Not sure. :/

Killing the lieutenant worked but it forced me into an encounter that caused some heavy casualties. Bug?

Is it possible to run this with Wine? Glancing at the wiki it tells me to run it tells me to use "wineconsole & curses backend". However, I'm a little baffled as to what this even means. :/

Any attempts to run it through Wine as I would run DF seem to be fruitless. I run it but there is simply no reaction. No bug or error, but the executable simply doesn't run. Admittedly, I'm not terribly tech-savy so I'm a tad intimidated at trying to build it from the source.

I enjoy playlists of Rise Against, The Offspring, 3 Doors Down, Skillet, and some Chevelle. Maybe a little U2 or Red Hot Chili Peppers if I'm in the mood.

Two things: Would it be possible to add when a liberal joined the LCS? Pretty much right next to birth date. I think it would be kinda cool though I'm not sure how much trouble it would be to be frank.

Also is it possible to review the final stats/info of your martyrs along with when they died, and if not is that possible to add?

I just kinda think these to would add to the immersion a tad as I tend to get connected to my liberals. :)

Hmm, I interpreted it as there is a correct way to perform the trial in order to be declared not guilty. That's what I meant. It doesn't make sense for there to be a "right" way to do things in order to do it. Because then its relying on the player to execute correctly. But now that I look at it again it makes sense if its just a system to institute more options. I can support that. Options are awesome. :D

I feel that this might rely too much on the player's own skill of execution which is contrary to the game's foundation. The game is currently dedicated to choices not execution so having the player perform the trial wouldn't really fit.

Just a few quick questions and comments.
A. First, what affects sleeper effectiveness if they are laying low? Is it random or do you influence it? In the wiki it claims you can spout Conservatism but it seems the only option is promoting Liberalism, so sleeper effectiveness seems to  be uncontrollable.
B.Next does persuasion affect an interrogator's ability to raise heart or is it simply psychology and heart?
C. Would it be possible to institute a way of backing out of recruitment? It seems dumb but I occasionally find that after a long period of raids, or a really exciting moment I might slip and hit the recruit key by accident on someone who is fairly useless. It would be similar to when talking with a third option to say "On second thought they aren't Liberal enough to join our cause" or something.  Then the dialogue would change to simply say the recruit is excited a screen later if you confirm their recruitment.

Curses / Stealth Change?
« on: July 23, 2011, 09:25:54 am »
So I haven't played this game in a few months. And I'm unsure but I was wondering if the stealth mechanics have changed. In 4.03.1 in order to maximize your stealth capability you needed to wear something black. I had started as a professional thief and originally wore a black turtleneck. But now I'm a highschool dropout and can't seem to buy or make those clothes. Is the turtleneck still in existence and if so is it the only uniform that aid's stealth? Could I use a black judge robe instead?

Stealth Issues:
Hey so I so far have had  a master thief founder. Up until now he was able to sneak past pretty much everything. But then he was ambushed on a date and sent to court. He defended against the charges and I was ready to bring him back to his happy old days of theft. Alas, now something is wrong. For while normal sneaking around works most of the time (he just alarmed some hangin' judge somehow) if the conservatives are alarmed he's screwed. With 17 stealth he could sneak past everyone even at alarm level. But now he can't get past anyone at alarm level even if its just one lonely cop. :/ Oh and his stealth won't go over 20 even though his agility is 21. Anyone know if this is a problem or just a freak coincidence?
Thanks.

Edit: Yeah somethings definitely wrong as I just went to an apartment block and a guard dog with a cop alarmed (first red flag as earlier full stack of cops+dogs couldn't see him) then when a teenager saw him he couldn't sneak past! Its like the sneak past button is now broken. ):

Curses / Re: Juice

Yes, I've discovered that my favorite way is going to the court house and opening the cells then influencing a jury. That's 100 juice. :D
It does tend to close it down though.
(Also works at the police station but there are only cells so you can only get 50 juice)

So it seems that Juice is far tougher to get now than it was about two updates ago. It seems to have been halved and covert actions such as sabotage/cage-freeing give nothing. Oh and stuff like stealing stops at 200. This really seems to limit gameplay options as now I'm going to have to use my founder for violence which I wasn't anticipating. D:
