Well, there was a goblin ambush.

Roughly 20 goblins in full.

They slaughter the Elven caravan, some of them get caught by my cage traps, and then I have no more defenses apart from my military. Seeing how half of them are marksgoblins, I say "gonna be harder than expected"

I call my squad to attack, then decide that charging blindly into a marksgoblin squad might be a bad idea.

Then I see my expedition leader, a lady without a weapon, inside the pack of goblins.

I call my squad to charge and save her.

Well, "save her", no sell ! No damsel in distress at all !

With as only military equipment only a bronze breastplate, bismuth bronze shield, iron cap and bismuth bronze greaves, she fought for her colony.

She fought all day long, one against sixteen.

She killed seven goblins this day, every single dead one getting it's head caved by her mighty shield, and the others fled.

The rest of the squad did not arrived in time.

And there she stood.

She parried and dodged all bolts. No damage at all.

This is the most awesome thing I have ever seen in DF since long. She's getting a quality room ASAP.

Main metalworker had a fey mood. He made another artifact iron warhammer.

Now I am happy, because I have both legendary weaponsmith and armorsmith !

Yes, slaughtering a whole town for a stupid reason makes your adventurer evil.

Do I need to embark in an evil biome to have a shot at encountering cave dragons?

For cave creatures, the [GOOD][EVIL][SAVAGE][BENIGN] tokens are ignored/doesn't seem to work properly. You can get all cave creatures in any external biome, it seems.

Next time prepare your defenses accordingly.

Notably, draft your miners in the military. Armor them. Give them good quality, good metal (steel) picks. And make them charge the Forgotten Beast, Titan  or whatever was that.

I have 20 pages worth of prepared food in a single pot.  It weighs just under 1.1 tons. Awesome.

Happened also too me... not as much but still, my -large basalt pot- is worth 24k in the depot with no more than skilled cooks.

How do loyalty cascades happen among goblins?

Goblins appear on the map and start a civil war. A few survive (say 1/4 max) and get trashed by my military.

Oh, and gobbos started to attack again.

Honestly I would just combine flusher with pit trap. Possibly with upright spikes or weapon traps at the bottom if you have the metal.
