So then we need replies from Salsacookies and Varee regarding the attacks against them.

227
Yes, my remaining 6 cards.

And yes Varee, you should keep a text document on hand with your cards and any notes you may wish to keep. I have done so and its been remarkably helpful in keeping things sorted out nicely.

228
This is fine to me.

So that would be my hand prior to my scout action?

229
Also I'd like to see your breakdown Iituem, preferably in the same format as Irony's. Since those two times he went below 0 cards in hand are what concern me most of all.

(Incidentally, My count is as follows.)
5 initial cards +4 draw phases = 17 cards.
Used 2 scouts. -2, +4 = 19 cards.
Played 3x puzzle box. (-3 cards x 3) 10 cards.
Played 4 minor artefacts, (-2 cards x4) 2 cards.
Draw 7 from special ability. 9.

Used 5 to find tomb, 2 puzzle, 1 costs 3 (-card, -2 to support), 1 costs 2 (1 card, 1 to support). 4 cards remaining
Used 3 to puzzle attack Ironyowl. (-card, -2 to support). 1 card remaining as of Turn 5, Acton Phase. Cannot attack me.

So where the hell did those other 6 cards come from? How did I miss 6 extra cards drawn? How did Irony do the same? This is two seperate sets of eyes on this.

230
So he had enough surplus cards, and a puzzle attack with which to kill me?

231
See above edit. I want a GM audit on cards in Varee's hand. I do NOT think he has enough for this attack.

232
Well, alas. I thought he wouldnt be using his booby trap against me, since it was not specified. With a hand of merely 6 cards I cannot defend myself.

But I can kill you just as dead. Discard Friendly Gremlin, Discard Intrigue.

Play Combat. Strike Uristy down with a 4 strength combat attack. (Including my Alchemists Fire.)
Well played to you all. 2 remaining now.

Edit of justice.
Twice now I've run the numbers, Varee cant possibly have enough cards in hand to attack me. I think I'm going to call for a GM audit of his hand count.

SCOUT [ACTION] - Your Pawn discovers new pastures to explore.  Draw 2 cards.  Cost: Nothing.  Discard after play.

"Look I don't even know what you people are on about. Its a dull and boring DOOR! I'm going to go check out this river I found a ways back. I'll catch up."

234
Hmm, yeah that would work.

Trade
My Glass of True Sight, and my Booby trap to Valer (Criptfiend)

Pass Placement phase.

Right the final edit!

Sacrifice Architect, to pull out...
Quote
A PACK OF KOBOLDS [FACTION] - A clan of these beggars keeps setting mantraps throughout the jungle. You've nearly lost a leg twice already to them.
On the other hand, their craftsmanship is impressive...
Ruler (Pawn) Benefits: +3 to Puzzle.  Puzzle action 1 card cheaper to initiate (stacks with Wizard etc).
Player Benefits: Artefacts are 1 card cheaper to place.
Costs 6 Cards to play.
Which also needs stats.

GLASS OF TRUE SIGHT [ARTEFACT] - Allows you to see through any illusions, and through some walls and hidden traps as well!  +4 to Puzzle.  Cost: 6 Cards.
Discarding: Deadly Poison, Lizardfolk Tribe, Magnifying Glassx2, Intrigue, Architect also in hand.

Play
Quote
BOOBY TRAP [ARTEFACT] - This magical trap is no bigger than a matchbox, and easy to conceal or disguise.  When touched, it explodes with the force of a barrel of gunpowder.  Discard as part of a Puzzle attack.  Counts as +3 cards for offensive purposes.  Cost: 1 Card..
Discarding: Magic Rope.

((RP to probably follow!))((Also not done with placement yet.))

Varian never understood why the King wouldnt speak to him personally, but Varian wasn't the sort to ask questions. Especially where a bribe was concerned. The meeting was as clandestine as one could hope for in the middle of some god-forsaken jungle not 20 yards from the entrance to the fabled Tomb of Salus. After being rudely shaken awake, Varian was presented with a pot of gold, and the well wishes of the King who had sent it.

"I say Terraldo, you thought me mad for dragging you into this horrifying place but look! The first of what I am sure are to be MANY riches that will come our way. " Turning to address the thief who delivered the lovely glinting gold, Varian found he had departed. Shouting out into the darkness after him: "My best wishes to your master good sir, I shall keep him in my thoughts most certainly!"

(also I am cracking that thing open right now)

237
Why do you hate me random number gods? Why?!

238
Mm, I dont think so. Turn is 4, 5 cards to start, +3 each turn means total cards I could have is 14, I have spent 3 on my grappling hook,  (11 cards total) then I spent 4 on my mysterious sack, so I should have 7.

239
I too shall Pass this Placement Phase Jujst so its all neat and stuff.

Act One, Part Four: Yet more studying!

Gerl Lightshade
[?,?]
The Cair libraries are open to the public, fortunately. Unfortunately you're not allowed to access the magical sections of the library until you've proven yourself as an actual mage.
[4] The test doesnt take much time, and before long you're in amongst the magical tomes studying Healing magic. The tomes are obtuse and somewhat poorly categorized. Its going to take a bit of time to gain familiarity with healing magic.

Maekar Stormhold, Muirgen Frostbrand,
[6,5,4]
An excellent few training sessions have instilled the basics of proper combat into Maekar stormhold. Still, hes nothing spectacular but hes well on the path now.

Whatever issue was there with the iron last attempt seems to have vanished. Your smithing expertise has crafted a long sword for Milos. You hand it to him without much pomp.

Its about time you put this noble appointment to work. You arrive at court and are immediately harangued and accosted by hangers on, lesser nobles and basically what amounts to the riff-raff of the nobility. They're just so excited to have an Ocean Elf of the Great Expanse here. Its going to be some time before you can actually approach anyone of any sway. Still, lesser nobles are what you're after for now.

[3] Discussing the less...savory members of the nobility is always a popular pasttime. One name is repeated fairly often, a Daergoth Vallinas who is reportedly a drunkard and a rabble-rouser. From the sounds of it he is exactly what you're looking for.

-----
Milos Daljulan
[1,1] Whatever blessing you had beforehand in training the troops seems to have evaporated. They are consistently making the most boneheaded mistakes. You are dead certain some of them have regressed slightly.

William Ovendvhrall

Together with Darius you discuss things with the Captain of this regiment. After putting together a plan you put it into motion. It takes the soldiers time to round up enough material to blockade the entrance. Meantime you and Darius put your heads together to devise a means of slowly draining the vital force from the air within the tomb.

[5] Between the two of you, theres more than enough magical power to get the job done. Hours pass, then days. There is no response from within the mausoleum. But of course the undead don't need the air to live.

Eventually you're certain you've done all you can. Darius agrees. Whoever was within didnt respond to your assault. And you're fairly certain you didnt leave enough air for a living creature.
The captain is confused and needs to know what they should do next.

Nothing of Note.
