Yeah, thats why some things are in limbo - because Iituem has to roll for them. Some of these have been resolved, others have been given to other people to roll.

The only rolls i cant technically make are my own sales - which given the evidence of the past? I dont need to fake my rolls to abuse the system :D

The only reason i don't roll storyline bits is because i truly have no idea what is going on with the rest of you

Hoping to get some free time soon or a better schedule to deal with crap.

I do apologize to the GMs for creating more work

Sell flax in Suul (2.5)
-request meeting with Archbishop
--Purpose of meeting: To discuss the joys of his holy order of pirates and his views on the SCTG, possibility of his funding an opposing trade guild and/or inserting someone into their ranks (IE me, given my slowly growing reputation for making the gods weep at my abuse of trade)
-Also would like to get a proper marque, in my own name...plus extra copies for other ships
--Explain the happenings of the previous captain who held the marque i posess

***Added the info to the wiki for guild ranks***

Interesting setup, just means i need to get myself in touch with a guild - and there's conveniently one in Vasir ^.^

I'd be more than happy to do it, i just never have the time to sit and do it. It's actually a pretty quick thing to add to our merchant sheet - provided all trades were added to the sheet each season

CG: with respect to the MMO side of things, as much as any automatisation of tasks would help, you are right: things like corpse weapons or actions that are usually a staple of most RP posts are not easy to turn into algorithms. Besides, its only trade that causes most problems, so if any stuff like taxation, colonization and mathematically definable varialbes could be pinned under that then we could do mor proper RP'ing.

Actually these shouldn't be too hard to automate...if only i could get 4hours of unmolested time to DO THAT

I'm with Iituem: If time, and moreso FUNDING, permitted me to take 6months off work? I'd have completed Evil Genius as a browser game already. It's not hard to get the shell running, it's the damn dynamic content that kills you. How do you program the ability, let alone have the FORESIGHT, to allow the used of corpses/unconcious people as a bludgeoning weapon? (basically you cheat, and create the Hulk game: Everything is breakable and usable)

it might also help if we had a second full GM who doesn't control a PC at some point just to keep things moving because it really is a great game you've put together. Also everyone else, does this seem like a good idea?

If one of us dies and we finish our game (which its slated to end soon), Terenos or I can start helping out.

*scratches head* Theres some weirdness with the math Iituem...rerunning - will edit when finished

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

unless of course im retarded - which upon reflection is partially true since my own math confirms yours for my own trades

Edit: And to the fair the only thing broken with the aching run is the -5 to staples
Edit2: Also updating the merchant sheet for us in terms of taxes and remaining allowance

As long as there isnt a manpower relation to us, it should be fine - since we can't -get- manpower

iituem, i'll gladly split the aching -> vasir run with ardas :P

Yeah it was a tad broken, but with some mods we'll have it manageable - as i said before: give me math and i'll break it. :D

Actually with my rolls i didnt include worst/best case involving the transport rolls. So it's a little more fluid than it was.

To everyone else:
-Merchants have 3 rolls to fight with to get a good deal - Transport, Buy and Sell
--Volatility of these rolls alone makes merchanting -very- hard to make a profit off of

No actually i didnt, the italic part is the estimation of increment on clams because they're not in the list of goods yet

You paid .6 for 2 loads of clams

Probably just something you'd put in your sig, not in the discussion thread of another game

send an instruction to my ships to load clams in Suul and sail To Vasir.

Running this on best guess estimation: Clams dont exist in the chart. Assuming a 1d base price like most staple foods, and a roll of 2 on the haggle and a roll of 4 on the voyage -to- suul (-2 inc total), that would mean the goods have a .35 inc. Will edit if Iituem says otherwise

[3] By avoiding any standard shipping lanes, your ships make decent time to Vasir, dodging pirates but being a tad slower than optimum [2] Seems there is little desire in Vasir for seafood. You're not surprised given the coastal location of the city. City demands however still manage you +1 inc over base. Clams: Sellable at 1.35 (net profit: .75)

Up to you if you want to sell here.
EDIT@Iituem: Does hiring ships still have the province limit? Lil OP if no..

Ok. I sent the instruction for two boatloads of clams from suul to be shipped to Vasir. Iituem did a preliminary roll and gave me 0.3d per tonne, he just didn't do the rest since my instruction came after that. here is the link to this roll.

So did you want the clams rolled to be sold in Vasir?

I found a way to make 30d/season, 20 minimum

I'll roll you in a few Ardas
EDIT: My guess is you intend to do the old stock market trick of flooding a region with specific resources to lower the price because of supply/demand and buy back what you sold cheap, thus driving up the price again.

Doesnt work that way, there's no stock level held in cities
