i have a 126 year old dwarf with pretty high social skill's and i want to know if its just a old talkitive dwarf or it is a vampire but it doesn't have any kills so i just want to make sure before i !!SCIENCE!!

how do i set population cap's for vanilla in dwarf fortress ... 38 CHILDREN'S ARE TOO UNBARABLESSS ... can't handle the children need a cap for population.

im in the first year of this fort and decided to carve my fort into the volcanoes rim. so doop de doo winter comes doop de doo the lake re freezes [forgot to mention there was a pool that was dug out and it went into the volcano making obsidian] and when winter was over it all melted and one of my cats were washed away with it so i was like oh well but it didn't die and so it is still falling deeper into the magma with a cave in and hasn't died yet so i paused the game and wanted to know what you guys think the cat has only fell about 10z levels into the magma so any suggestions?

i have been wanting to know how to get slaves i have atleast 20 elves and goblins in cages every year and i want to know if i can use them more than just throwing them off a cliff a few z levels shattering their legs to just be mauled by my 20 something black bears i keep down there. Any suggestions???
