Amberly was silent for a while as she absorbed this new information. It wasn't easy; there were too many questions whirling through her mind (not all of them about this motley crew she was supposed to be a part of), too much new knowledge in such a short span of time.

The nun got to her feet and went for a walk, clutching at her temples as she struggled to get her thoughts in order.

: "I understand your frustration. These undead are able to resist my magic, probably because the necromancer is directing them with his own."

Amberly returned after taking a moment to compose herself and sat down across from the priest.

: "We should speak of other things. You are a group of pirates, yes? Are we returning to your ship?"

Sword of the Stars? In the first game each race had some core techs that were the same each time but also some techs that they would only randomly get.

: "...so it isn't a wedding ring? This is...pay?"

: "That's basically what I was thinking, yeah. Might as well put him out of his misery now then let him be hanged in a few days. Plus, keeping him alive would have stretched our limited supplies, and we'd have to keep watch on him 24/7. If we got into another fight, who would stay behind? We need everyone we've got at the moment."

Amberly tore her gaze from the sizzling corpse of the archer in response to Cetus. She stared at him for a few moments before responding.

: "...because it appears that we will be working together for some time, I will accept your apology. That doesn't mean I'm not still upset and you and your friend."
