Assyrian Christians crowdfund and army to fight ISIS
I'm not sure that the best thing to fight an army of angry religious fundamentalists is another army of angry religious fundamentalists. I hope this doesn't wind up as badly as I'm afraid it might  :-\
They're men fighting for their homeland, for their families, for their wives and children. Not extremists. Nobody protected them in the past, so they take matters into their own hands - it's a good and honorable thing, a decision that deserves our support.
And remember that the Iraqi central state is basically a crapshot regardless of who's in charge: Grassroot (well, sort-of grassroot) militias and regional administrations, regional centers of power backed - and controlled! - by the populace may offer a way to one day create an actual working state in Iraq.
They are that for now. I'm just worried about what might happen after IS/ISIS/ISIL gets driven out. Will they become just as extreme? What if they begin turning their guns on all Muslims instead of just the ones they are currently fighting?

Obviously there are non-extremist religious people and obviously I hope this turns out for the best and possibly even helps stabilize Iraq. I just don't have high hopes for that.

Before Fezz moves: Grifen moves to (11,12) and bops Cyra with the Heal Staff.

Grifen clambered back onto her horse and looked around in shock at the mysterious figures blasting the area with some powerful magic. She rode past Miguel and quickly applied some medicine to get the old man back on his feet.

: "C'mon! Let's get outta here!"

Grifen rides to (6,9), sprinkles a MAXIMUM STRENGTH vulnerary on Miguel, and then cantos to (6,10)!

I am becoming convinced that the weekend dispatchers are on one drug or another. Either that or something is wrong with my file in the central office. They keep assigning me loads that, to be frank, I'm not supposed to be doing. Loads that get picked up 400 miles away. Overnight trips to other states. I'm a local driver who starts and ends each day in the same yard, not OTR.

And to top it off, all of this is happening on a day when I'm the only driver in the yard; my co-workers apparently have the day off, and when they do I'm supposed to as well. They never have just one of us working. I'm gonna need to speak to my manager come Monday if these guys don't get things sorted.

I have to ask: are these "sovereign citizen" nutjobs far more common than I thought, or are they just especially annoying in your area?

I wonder why the wizard didn't make them grow again? Surely being the size of a virus wouldn't have made the kids die of asphyxiation more quickly.

Darwyn attempted a comforting pat on the bard's shoulder.

"We'll get the voices to stop Ness, don't you worry. If distance from this place won't do it, then surely magic will silence them." A thought struck him. "Or maybe...Ness, haven't you been talking about becoming a knight, like in the old stories?"

10512
You are one of us now, Frumple. Resistance is futile.

It seems a bit silly to curse my lack of LCK, considering the rest of my level :P
