It is indeed very anime, but it's still shaping up to be a pretty mature story set in the early days of a fantasy!World War II. I'm only a few hours in and I'm already spotting the makings of a fantasy!Holocaust, what with a marginalized group of people being the targets of bigotry, both by enemy and allied forces.

It is awesome tactical goodness with the threat of permanent character death to keep me on my toes. And it has at least one Skies of Arcadia character! \o/

that game was so fucking great
There's also mention of a soldier named Aika, so I'm hoping that she's in the game as well. Until Sega gets around to finally making Skies of Arcadia 2, this is the next best thing.
