: I simply cannot believe this.

Either this was a bad joke that was going on far too long, or this was a trap, or this was genuine. Amberly wasn't sure at the moment which outcome would be the worst.

I recently got my 5 year seniority award at work. I need your guys' help, they gave me a catalog with a bunch of stuff, and I can pick out the prize I want but I can only pick ONE THING:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'll provide detail for whatever is vague, I just thought I would bring it up with the Council of Twelve Bays before I decide.
I gotta know what the heck that thing above the wineglasses is. The one that looks like a cyberpunk visor.

I don't remember the exact ages. I feel like I was in single-digit years (7, maybe?) for the first one, and in my...junior year of high school for the second (possibly sophomore). Both fractures were in my forearms: right arm for the first and left for the second.

Dunno about "most". I'm not exactly a usable sample size, but I've had two fractures and no surgeries for either. My sister has had at least two fractures and so far as I know has never gone under the knife for anything.

I had something like that on...I believe it was my second mission ever. Haven't encountered the pirates since, which is a shame as I'd probably be better equipped to deal with them now.

Dude, you're in the Happy Thread. Ain't no one gonna judge you here.

Also I don't know anything about mahjong, but I have to assume that scoring more than four times as many points as your closest competitor is pretty fantastic.

We've been running Fire Emblem games on this very forum for years and Nintendo hasn't come knocking. Yet.

I think as long as it stays relatively quiet it should be okay. Besides, it'd be relatively easy to convert the system to a more generic setting if worst came to worst.

I spent a few years as a sort of involuntary NEET due to an injury. Couldn't go to school, couldn't find work, could barely even travel. Just hung out around the house between doctor visits.

Does that qualify me as a professional layabout?

This is a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild tabletop game. I have not read much of the manual, but what I have seems interesting.
Interesting indeed. I have a pdf that contains 5th Edition versions of Hylian races, but a proper LoZ tabletop game could be very cool.
In case it's not obvious, its free.
Yeah, I've been looking over the core book. It looks rather nice, especially for a fan project, and the mechanics don't look half bad either.

My biggest gripe is that the game is apparently rather unstable. One of the pieces of advice given frequently on the Steam forums is to only save when you absolutely must - say, closing the game - and keep reloads to a minimum. Otherwise bugs and glitches creep in. The AI loses track of what it wants to do and becomes more erratic. Things can go horrifically wrong on the player's end as well, especially as the turn counter ticks higher.

I had a long-running game more or less in the bag, approaching the technological victory, when without any warning my government changed form and my empire went into rebellion. Not just one or two systems but the entire damn thing. I asked for help and was told what I just mentioned above. Haven't gone back since, despite the fact that I do rather like the game. I don't want a game that I put several hours into fall apart because the programming is held together with scotch tape and hopeful wishes.

: "Apparently, yes. I must say, I almost hope he isn't royalty. The idea of someone as senselessly violent as Captain Ethan being given greater authority than a ship's master does not sit well in my mind." The nun thought back to some of Ethan's more outrageous actions and threats. There were quite a few, even in the relatively short time she had been in his company.

If you make it a flat bonus then it needs to be changed to a Free skill. No question in my mind. That 50% bonus only becomes really good if you invest heavily in those stats, and when you already have less progression to work with it can leave your character in a lot of trouble.
