And it was...one giant computer maneframe, and...Resturant...At the end of the univers-WAS I ON CRACKThe Mice did not create the Earth. They paid someone else to create the Earth, which was a giant computer/artificial planet designed to calculate the Question to the Answer of Life, the Universe, and Everything (the Answer was 42, but they did not know the Question).
Besides, if I remember correctly Marvin states that he can see the Question, but everyone gets distracted by something and it never comes up again.
