We already had that with Soul Silver, though.

I think the shorthand for the upcoming versions should be SwoSh.

Hey folks, sorry for the delays. Things have been a bit hectic at work. On days like today I barely have time to shower, eat dinner, and make lunch for the next day before going to bed.

I have some time off starting tomorrow though, so things should improve quite a bit!

A number of metropolitan areas actually have a decent amount of public transit. Buses, trams, commuter trains, things of that nature.

Probably not enough public transit but certainly better than what's available in other areas.

"Ain't never had to sign no paper in all my life," Dawls grumbles. "Swore on my ancestors, I did. 'Sides, you could write anything you want on that paper and I wouldn't know it until you kicked me out of my own farm, or something."

Henry, sensing an argument, stepped in. "Dawls has been lived here his whole life. He ain't the sharpest tack, but he's always come through on his promises. I don't imagine that he'd try to cheat any of you, but if he does you come see me. I'll make sure you're recompensed for your trouble."

Dawls, apparently missing the earlier insult, beams with pride at the notion that he's honest.

I don't really have "modpacks", but I do keep the Star Wars mods around. Factions, lightsabers & Force powers, a couple of different races and a Star Wars fauna pack.

Psychology is perma-installed. So is Faction Control and Alpha Animals. A few other species mods, I try to avoid anything OP. Prepare Carefully. Doormats (to help keep dirt out). A mod that allows colonists to quickly finish off downed animals (or people) instead of beating on them for several hours. Mostly QoL stuff that makes minor under-the-hood improvements.

I've given Medieval Times a go, it's a great way to fill in the gap between Tribal and Modern tech levels and adds tons of weapons, armor, and crafting stations. Some of it is unfortunately a bit busted stats-wise. I get the feeling you're supposed to use it in conjunction with Faction Control and just use primitive factions.

I still need to fire up the various Lovecraftian mods.

Apparently unable to find the heckler, Dawls climbs onto a chair so he can be heard above the general din.

"I'm tellin' ya! Someone's stealing my goats, and I want the bastard caught! I've got money! Catch whoever is doing it and bring 'em to justice, and I'll pay everyone involved a silver shilling! I swear on my ancestors!"

A few people look interested now, but most are either cracking jokes or returning to their drinks. Henry attempts to draw Dawls down off of his chair.

At the moment we're at four PCs. I can probably handle one more but after that you'd be waitlisted.

Of course, considering that death is quite possible and extremely difficult to cure, I'd wager that waitlisters have a decent chance of getting in.

I run updates whenever possible. In combat or other dangerous situations I'd prefer active posting so that other players aren't waiting too long for their turns.

Before Henry can finish serving, however, there's a commotion outside.

"--again! That's a dozen gone missing this month! I'm not gonna put up with this pigshit one more day, I'll tell you!"

Into the Dusty Duck bursts an older man in the raggedy clothing of a farmer. He is quite clearly agitated, and also quite clearly not entirely sober. Henry puts down a tankard with a sigh. "Evenin', Dawls. What are you making a racket over this time?"

"It's my goats, dammit! Another one went missing last night! No blood, no broken fences, no nothing! Just gone!"

"Ye sure ye didn't just get the count wrong again, eh Dulls?!" a wit among the patrons shouts. Dawls stops ranting in order to glare unsteadily at the crowd.

Seems pretty clear to me that we're heading back to town? I dunno what the holdup is.

You post what you want to do in the IC thread, preferably in bold typing so it's easier for me to recognize.

Examples: I attempt to stab the goblin, or Raina changes her appearance to match that of the dead bandit. The pronouns and tenses are basically up to you, so long as I can understand what you're trying to say.

If a roll is called for, I'll roll the required dice (either real dice or, more probably, the dice app on my phone) and post the results. If no roll is needed, I'll simply post what happens.

Found the Broken Vessel and died a few times before hitting on a charm combo that seemed to do okay. Then I tried to take on the...thing in its remains. That was too tough for me, but luckily it can't seem to actually kill me, just kick me out of its weird dream world.

I also decided to take on the Arena. I expected one-on-one fights with tough enemies. I did not expect massive waves of tough enemies.

That game is great. I kept thinking I'd explored it all, only to be proven wrong.
Oh sure, it's great. Pretty tough in some sections, but I can't help but be fascinated by the world and the art. Probably the first Souls-like I've actually enjoyed enough to keep coming back to.
