A couple more questions:
First, do I get any powder and shot included with my pistols, and if so how much?
Second, I took Craft (Engraving) for one of my skills. The idea is that she engraves her pistols and (because of her superstition) her shot as well. Is it reasonable to assume that whatever she starts the game with is already engraved?

Would it make sense for a pirate sort of person to wear hard leather armor? Except for the head, which will have a hard cloth hat. Hard leather seems to be he best armor which doesn't incur penalties.

I can't seem to find how much starting wealth we have. I'm a Freeman, so I see that's standard wealth, but the actual number eludes me.

I want to take an obsession/compulsion as noted in the liabilities: my character must clean her pistols at least once a day, preferably after every fight/other use of them. How many points would that be worth?
She's also going to be superstitious and possibly have an enemy. I want enough points to take Ambidextrous :P

Well, I'll be focusing on pistols, so I put a lot of points into DEX and AGI (5 each). STR and WIL are 3 each.
And yeah, human. Like I said, still very new to this system.

Oh right, question: what are the effects of a fine or heirloom weapon in-game? Thinking of taking a cutlass as inheritance in addition to the two pistols I'll start with.
