"I just did what I had to do. Hey, do you think he'd mind if I got on him?"

Gordon prepared his healing staff...just in case, of course.

18137
Gordon gave the young man a calculating look. When he spoke, his voice was guarded.

: "Oh? And what makes ye think I know anything about fighting demons? It isn't exactly a standard subject at school."

But Vandertz appeared to be busy showing off his wyvern (which Gordon only now realized was not some sort of crude euphemism), and so the priest decided to let the matter drop.

: Well, they certainly don't move slowly. Foolish youngsters. Out loud, he said: "Aye, I think I did. Should come in handy in emergencies."

If you buy the Angelic Cloth, probably best to give it to Sophie. Gordon at least has the defenses to take some hits, while Sophie seems to rely entirely on dodging stuff. Which is fine, but any attacks that hit her are gonna hurt a hell of a lot more.

: Hrmph. So much for priestly brotherhood...

Gordon returned to the group and gave the pouch of gold back to Kat.

: "Thank ye, Katerina. Here's everything left."

I think I got everything set up properly. Not entirely sure, though...

18142
So, is this strictly limited to Japan or what? Need to know for naming purposes.

Failing to find an Antidote staff (somehow), Gordon instead returns to the crowd of priests and bishops.

: "Pardon me for bothering ye again brothers, but I had hoped ye might be able to help. Ye see, I fear that me group may encounter venoms and poisons at some point in the near future, and while an antidote staff would clear such things right up the stores appear ta be completely out of stock. I don't suppose anyone here has one?"

18144
There is no antidote on the list.
Well, there should be :I

So wait...there isn't going to be a battle map or anything like that? No flanking or opportunity attacks?
That's kinda odd.

Gotta say I liked Blackmoore Castle. Everyone else suddenly bursting in and flattening everything was fun :P
It was!

So how are we setting up ability scores? Point buy, some sort of array, etc?

To be fair Owlga, I'm 25 and I only vaguely remember that meme. Don't think I've ever actually seen it in use before now.

And maybe instead of gifting games to Toady (as Owlga says, he's probably pretty busy and the upper boards would murder us if we delayed the next release), the snack budget goes to a simple donation?

PbP = Play by Post. That is, instead of playing in real-time over some sort of chat client (similarly to how a real-life game would be played), people play by posting on the forums. It takes longer to run combat and stuff, but it allows people with variable schedules and in different time zones to play together more easily.
