After remembering hearing about something called a "poison cannon", Gordon also buys an antidote staff, returning to the group afterwards.

Well, I don't know for sure that we'll be getting poisoned, but I remember the boss of the last map mentioning some sort of poison cannon so it seems like a logical conclusion.

Had a thought. Would anyone object to me buying an antidote staff, considering we're going up against some sort of poison cannon?

I'm good with moving onward, especially since there don't seem to be any new weapons in the castle. Hope we find a weapon store or dropped axe soon though, I bet my hatchet is almost gone :/

Gordon took the money with some visible surprise, then went and bought a Tiena staff.

Then you can soar majestically through the air. Like an eagle. Piloting a blimp.Portal quotes!

: "It means that these rumors may have some element of truth ta them. Until we learn more there's no point in speculation."Gordon waved her question off."That's the point, old-timer! Who knows what's in there? There could be all kinds of cool loot to find. Oh, and what do you need? I'm sure we can spare some gold for ya, since we all like being alive and all. Right Van?"
: "I saw a specialized healing staff in one of the stores. The sort of thing normally only found in the hands of high-ranked priests. Never used one meself, but they're apparently superior to standard staffs like this one." He tapped the one he held.
: "I know we priests are supposed ta disdain wealth and worldly possessions, and Defender knows I try...but such a thing might come in handy in this quest."

Kat bounced in place in excitement.
: "...An ancient temple populated by undead and a demon priest. It's hardly a vacation spot."Vandertz mentioned getting additional supplies and equipment, and Gordon nodded.
: "I believe I have everything I require. However..." His voice trailed off as he hesitated.

Again, I'm fine with being a Bishop. I'm simply going off of this from the OP:

« on: February 25, 2014, 01:40:35 pm »Gordon's eyes narrowed.Lesan cleared his throat, his awkwardness apparently reasserting itself. "Uh, care to repeat that last part, Father?" News about Mernid, and people being spoken to in their minds? That couldn't be a coincidence.
: "I said that some sort of demon priest was speaking ta people in their minds, recruiting them. According ta rumors, anyway. Do ye know something?"Kat asked him something.
: "We signed up ta open the Gates, and the sooner we do that the better. However, I don't know how wise it would be ta ignore this situation. Might be smart ta swing by Mernid and look around."

Lesan cleared his throat, his awkwardness apparently reasserting itself.
