Gordon harrumphed at that, but couldn't fault Vandertz's logic.

: "Well, while we wait I am going ta get some refreshment." He walked over to the bar, ordered some water (in a clean glass, he was sure to specify), and returned to the table.

: "What I mean is tha every minute the lollygaggers make us wait is another minute others will have a chance ta find the prize. Ye should have hired more punctual mercenaries."

Move 4 squares south.
Fire a Chaos Bolt at SD4!
Action Point: Fire another Chaos Bolt, at a different target if SD4 dies!

((Gimme some bounces for once!))

It's because both of us love to RP so we usually end up talking to each other. XD
This...this is probably it. Not that I'm complaining, of course :]

Gordon eyed the newcomer with a more speculative glance.

: "Sin", eh? Interesting... Out loud, he asked "Who are these others ye are expecting? We're wasting time here."

Gordon's face fell into another scowl at Vandertz's admonishment.

: "What ye call grumpy I call seriousness. We are a band of mercenaries going into certain danger; there is no place for levity on such a quest."

Funnily enough, you're probably right. Kat's in the right age group that he'd be more willing to open up to.
And I realize that could be taken totally the wrong way, so let me state for the record that Gordon's romantic interests are completely non-existent.

One of these days I'll have to make a character that does not interact with your's in any way, SC. Just because ours always seem to end up with at least some level of support somehow :P

I can't imagine Voldemort's people would be the kind to believe that halfbloods can produce purebloods. Of course, logically that means almost nobody is actually a pureblood, which is itself kind of a brilliant realization of how crazy such ideas of purity actually are.
This is actually pointed out several times in the series. I believe Sirius talks about how all the "pureblood" families are rather interelated because there wouldn't be enough of them left otherwise. The vast majority of wizardkind are either "halfbloods" or Muggle-born themselves.

Pretty sure the Nazi definition applied. Most of the purebloods in the series had long histories of pureblood families, though only the Nazi-like families themselves (Malfoys, Blacks, etc) actually really cared.

This psych course has led me to such interesting places, did you know that according to the margin of my textbook, Harry Potter is a good illustration of the nature-nurture interaction, being that he was born to pureblooded parents, but raised by muggles, he had natural magical ability, but it didn't flourish until he went to Hogwarts...
... he wasn't born to pureblooded parents (Only his father was, Lily was muggleborn), and it's kinda' arguable he flourished at all, from what I recall. Only had one particularly innate magical ability, too (parseltongue, and it's arguable that that was actually natural), if I'm not misremembering -- the rest of it largely required training to be more than random discharges. Critter's a pretty strong case for the majority of nature being bollocks, from what I've seen (great deal of HP's actions can be fairly easily slotted in to the predictable behavioral patterns of someone that's gone through what he has). Plenty of fanfiction makes good (and bad, and mediocre, and ungodly terrible) investigations into the subject.
Parseltongue wasn't inborn either, IIRC; it was a side effect of the fragment of Moldievort's soul stuck in his body.
Hmm. Did J.K. Rowling ever address whether he lost his parseltongue ability after Voldemort was defeated?

Am I overplaying the "grumpy old man who thinks poorly of everyone younger than him" thing? I plan to have him loosen up (just a bit) later, but I don't want to totally drive everyone away before we even get started :|

Gordon eyed the map, doubt beginning to take hold. This hardly looked like the big deal Vandertz was making it out to be, but he had to try something. He had to have faith that this was the proper path.

: "Hmph. Me reasons are no business of yours. All ya need ta know is tha I can heal wounds and minister ta lost souls. Everything else is irrelevant."

My impression is that the Einsteinian Roulette threads are all interconnected, while each of the FEF games are separate.

On the last mission, you had two small rockets (one in the tube) and an incendiary, which you used. There was also a large rocket on the skyranger, put there for the Alien Base attack (but the terror mission happened first).

Sadly, the tight quarters of the last map prevented much in the way of explosives :/

: "Who? Oh, that fella with the mask? I ain't heard him say two words since he joined up. What's he like, preacher?"
