I can definitely recommend Dark Messiah of Might and Magic if you enjoy kicking people off ledges or tossing a dagger into their backs. It's around 2.50 USD right now if memory serves.
Certainly worth that. You get a lot of different ways to build your character, and the physics based puzzles and combat are fairly fun. Not the longest game though.

There's also multiplayer, but I'm guessing that's deader than David Bowie.

Basically, every character has a Personal Fault and up to three Personal Skills (depending on promo level). They're ways to customize your character's abilities. Almost all PFs/PSs have both a trigger and an effect, which are set by the player. Common triggers include being above/below half HP, fighting against certain classes, standing on certain terrain, etc. Common effects include +2 to a stat, +15 Hit, +10 Dodge, etc.

The problem is that the abridged handbook sorta skimps on these details. I'd recommend visiting the FEF Hub thread and grabbing one of the complete handbooks for more detail.

Alrighty. Let's do this.

O-21, ZAP the deckhand!

(18,7), heal up Seraphim.

"Ye been done ever since ye breathed ye last. Just lie down and crumble like a good corpse. Save us some headache."

Healers are always important. No one has been chosen yet, so making a healer is not a bad thing.

I believe Parity would block Charge, as Parity negates all skills including Class.

Generally, first class units have caps of 40HP, 20 everything else. Promoted units have caps of 60 HP, 30 everything else.

Yeah, I was thinking of making that same point when I put out the recruiting call. Boosting attributes sounds pretty vital, since you need specific talents later on to increase them after character creation.

Did your GM restrict species choice to the core rulebook? Looking through the various supplements (and the different base games), it really looks like they're all roughly equal to each other. I'm looking for any reason to not allow players to basically pick whatever they want.

I've been considering running an Age of Rebellion game. Since it and EotE are so similar, do you have any tips on how to keep things running smoothly?

Hell, I'll take any tips in general.

For some odd reason, Sam felt the urge to sneeze. She stifled the impulse and continued to play.

Sam moseys over to (13,15) and performs RouxBert!

Unless the restriction got removed recently, Abominations can't run in the same party as Vestals. Or Lepers or Crusaders.

If I had a nickel for every time someone wrote my name as Sirius, I could probably buy another copy of Stellaris to give away :P

Alrighty. I went ahead and sent mine to LoSboccacc, since he's next in line.

I think we need to know who got the earlier keys. Like, either the giver or the receiver should speak up.

Well, Mount and Blade is rather different from Battle Brothers. The world starts the same way every time, the vast majority of your followers are nameless faceless grunts, and you can't ever truly lose. All of your opponents are human, and they all run on the exact same AI.

BB might not involve large armies, but when each of your units are unique in terms of backgrounds, traits, and skills, each one feels more important. Any or all of them can die or be permanently maimed. The world is randomly generated each time. You can fight undead and greenskins, and every type of opponent has its own AI to follow. There are random events, which can have a number of different outcomes (some of which can be altered by who is in your party at the time).

M&B is great fun, but I think there are enough differences between it and BB that you can't make a simple 1-1 comparison of the two. They should be considered on their own merits.
