((If the bear is somehow still alive next turn, I'm using the daily. This is nuts :P ))

19007
((If we end up fighting the same shadow creatures as before, the daily won't be much use anyway. A hard-hitting single-target spell like that is overkill on those things. Nevertheless...))

Weston fires off another Chaos Bolt at the direbear!

((Hmm...use the daily and be guaranteed the kill, or use an at-will, save the daily, and risk missing?))

19009
Uh, freeform? Charlotte can't move after getting healed on the same turn :P

Thanks for the well-wishes. In order to succeed, three things will need to go perfectly:
1: Minimal hills between here and Reno. Donner Pass itself will unavoidably suck, but the fewer hills en route, and the gentler they are, the better. I'm hauling 42k pounds - any decent incline will slow me down. My truck is new and fairly powerful, but I can expect to be going at half-speed at most up anything steep.
2: No delays. No construction, no wrecks, no traffic. No restroom breaks, no naps, no feeling sick.
3: No ice on the road. Ice will force me to slow down, and I can't afford that. Thankfully temperatures are supposed to be pretty mild overnight.

Once I get over the pass and into California I'm pretty much home free. It's the first three-quarters of the trip which will probably raise my blood pressure more than is healthy :p

Pretty sure we just leveled up like...last turn. Or the one before it, whatever. Nothing much has happened since then.

Gah, I've been gaining STR every level and I can still barely hurt these guys. I need to get Ursa a proper throwing axe soon.

I am on a race against time.

Tomorrow evening, Donner Pass (the only real truck route into California that wouldn't require tacking on a few hundred extra miles) is forecast to get hit with a nasty snow storm. Like, whole feet of snow on the ground. Chains or no chains, if I don't get through the Pass before the storm hits I will likely have to stop and wait for conditions to improve.

Between me and the Pass is a few hundred miles of mountainous Nevada terrain. I will have to gun it at maximum speed as much as possible, not stopping for anything and squeezing every available second into covering distance.

It's going to be a long, stressful day. Damn delays. Damn weather. Why can't it stay clear just one more day?

Imma post to watch this. I'll link some sprites when I get back on my computer.

Mercenaries are set much jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none. Their stats are very average and you don't have the advantage of your trainee levels giving you potential extra stats.

At the sight of another wave of enemies, Ursa leapt forward, hatchet already swinging.

: "Princess, RUN!"

Move to (15,5) and HURL Hatchet at the soldier!

why is tantallos standing still >:c

Dark beats Anime, and he's got Sharpened infinite volleys of lifesteal. He could easily take down the lowermost Thunder Sage, right?
I dunno, some anime is pretty dark itself.

So how's this for a possible promotion?

Class: Bandit
+5% SPD
Throwing (C), Axes (D)
Personal Skill: Ranged Fighter: When Ursa is attacked from outside melee range, +15 Evade.

Gonna keep an eye on this so I don't forget later...

Let me rephrase that: did they ever get used in action, or anywhere other than testing sites? Did they ever combat optical sensors like Guardian said they were designed to do? Were they even slightly practical?
