So I got an interesting offer from my company's placement department today: every day runs from Sacramento to LA and back, home most nights. Guaranteed minimum income and I wouldn't have to deal with snow any more.
However, I think I'm going to decline. Unlike the Bay Area position I had during the holidays, I would no longer be living in a truck; in fact, I would have to drive my personal vehicle from home to Sacramento every day. Considering that's an hour+ commute, I'll be burning a lot of each paycheck on gas money. Plus a one-way trip from Sacramento to LA is roughly six hours if traffic cooperates - so I'd be driving at least 14 hours every single day.
So unless I'm missing some key piece of information, it's just not a good fit for me.
