Yeah, they throw quite a few bombs at you during this part. Massive invasion fleet, the SMC is thoroughly unprepared even if they came to the right conclusion, and now we just witnessed our first ally death. If I weren't hooked already, this was the part that really got me interested in the game.

Going back to the marriage skill discussion, decided to go with Renewal. Extra crit is nice but gaining 4 HP every round is nothing to sneeze at either. Gregor's plenty critty anyway and I've never really been fond of the "Danger Mario" style of gameplay.

Did something called Shaolin Kempo for about a year, getting up to...purple belt, I think? Had fun, discovered that the style was one of the inspirations for Firebending, eventually stopped because I could no longer afford it.

Tried to get back into martial arts a few years later and nearly broke my ribs first night when I critically failed a forward roll. Stopped immediately after.
