I got a couple memento items, too.

Memento items are presumably purely cosmetic and are only for RP purposes. They aren't even mentioned in the rulebook. And perhaps that rusted nail was a bit of shrapnel that was pulled out of your body, which you kept as a reminder to be more careful. Or something.

The Primer, on the other hand, is mentioned as one of the things Guardsmen can start with, so I figured it might have a tangible in-game purpose.

I'm just going with a simple Hive World Guardsman. No fancy pskyer powers, no crazy tech abilities or the ability to sneaky-sneak everywhere. Just overcharged lasguns with bayonet attachments, heavy stubbers, and grenades.

Oh, and flak armor. Which is surprisingly decent in this system; covers the whole body for a reasonable amount of protection.

Anyone know what the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer does? Does it count as a lucky charm, maybe?

I was contacted today with an interesting offer from my company. For at least a temporary basis, I can be switched from the 48-state random freight assignment I currently have to a more dedicated account nearby. I'll mostly be sticking to California and Nevada, have more time at home, AND I'll be making a minimum of $750 a week.

Unlike the last time I was offered a local job and turned it down, I decided to try this out for a little while.
