You got me on the axe but Gaston uses a gun if I recall.
It's actually kinda funny, similarities are there but they're for entirely different reasons.

Huge, strong, has a shorter sidekick who annoys him, heading into a hamlet, about to assault a castle to save a girl he hasn't really met, the guy who's holding her killed his father... I mean, geez, all you're missing is a song and dance number along with raising a small militia.But Ursa is practically the opposite personality-wise. And weapon-wise! Gaston had a bow, Ursa hates bows.
